Weightless ~

I quickly stepped out to get the doctor, I didn't want Vic to see me crying. »Can I get a doctor here, now.« I said. I was crushed, Vic didn't remember anything, he didn't remember us, all the times he spent at my place, sleeping next to me and holding my hand. »I said can I get a doctor, nooow!« I said louder.

Finally someone came out of the office. It was Vic's doctor Mr.Jensen. »In here.« He said. I stepped into his office and he offered me a seat. »You're Victor's friend, the one that passed out?« I was embarrased but that was nothing right now. I just wanted to know what's wrong with Vic. »Yes. Tell me, why doesn't Vic remember anything?«

»Oh yes.« He said and took his glasses off. »I wanted to talk to you about that. I already told his brother.« I was scared as fuck. A big fucking mess. »When Victor was hit by a car, he hit his head on the windshield. It wasn't very bad, but it caused memory loss. We were waiting for him to wake up to see how much he remembers.« Tears started sliding down my cheeks, I tried not to cry, but I somehow held myself responsible for everything. I don't think I've ever felt more guilty in my entire life. »Now now, don't be sad. Things could've been much much worse, trust me.« He said and handed me a tissue. »Let's go talk to him.« He approached me and padded my back. »Come on.« He was very nice, but I was still inconsolably crying.

»Alex, w-why are you crying?« Vic asked when I sat down next to his bed. »Oh nothing.« I lied. »I'm fine.« I was far from fine. »Then why do I see tears? Stop it, you'll get wrinkles on that pretty face of yours, stop worrying.« He grinned a little, with his eyes half closed. I just started crying more and sobbing into my palms. He always remained positive, no matter the situation. »Nothing, it's nothing.«

»Ok Victor, we're gonna do a little test. You are going to tell me about the last thing you remember.« Mr. Jensen said. »Umm, okay… I remember being at the gig with Alex here, my brother and some friends. The last think I remember is that I went to bed when I came home. It's just blank from there on.« Vic said. »Wait…« He continued. »Why are you asking me that? The gig and all… that was last night, right?« He was confused and I just felt more and more down.
»When was that concert he mentioned?« Mr.Jensen looked at me. Oh no, I knew I'd have to answer. »Umm, it was a-about 3 months ago…« Vic got that surprised look on his face.

»W-what? 3 months ago?« He said. »Are you telling me I lost 3 months?« His eyes teared up.
»Well, you were hit by a car Victor. You hit your head on the windshield. But you're lucky, the damage could be much worse, like permanent memory loss.« said Mr.Jensen. I asked him if he could leave us alone to talk for a bit, just so I could explain everything to him. »Well, call me if you need me.« He said and went back to his office.

»Vic, babe…« I said instinctively. I bit my lips momentarily. »I mean Vic.« He reached his hand out for me to hold. I did it. It felt so good. »I'm sorry about this. It's all my fault…« I knew I was eventually gonna have to explain, which meant mentioning the wedding. My insides turned liquid when I thought about that.

»How was it your fault? I was hit by a car Alex.« I looked down, staring at my vans. »Well, I encouraged you to go... to go to…« I was hesitating.

»To go where?« He asked. »To go to Celine's weding…« He looked at me. »Wait… you know about Celine? She's getting married? To who?« Fuck. I don't think things could be worse right now. I wanted to die.

»Yes, she is… she got married to Matt.« He sighed. But he wasn't as sad as that time he told me about it. Which was good I guess.

»Oh, and I went to the wedding?« He asked shockingly. »Yes, you did. And you took Mike with you. So it you want more info on that, you're gonna have to ask him.« He was figuring everything out slowly. »So then you two visited your relatives here and that's where you got into the accident.«

»Oh, okay.« He squeezed my hand a little. »Anything else in the time I lost I should know about… you know, like important stuff?« He asked. I couldn't tell him. Not now, I'll wait untill he gets better.

»No, just random stuff.« I said. My eyes teared up a bit and he noticed. »Alex, are you sure? What's with the sad face, come on.«

»Yeah, I'm sure. I'm okay, I'm just a bit off because of what happened to you…« »Aww, how nice of you to care this much. I wish I could remember those three months. I bet they were amazing.« He gave me a smile and it made me feel a little better for a moment.

»They were…« I replied.

»Did I spend at least half of it all with you?« He winked at me. »Yeah, me and the boys…« I said. I needed some air. And coffee.

»Good. I'm gonna doze off a bit, my head is starting to hurt…« He said. »Are you still gonna be here later?«

»Yeah, I'm just gonna grab some coffee and get some cigarettes. You go ahead and sleep. I'll see you later ba… I mean Vic.« Darn it.

»Were you gonna call me babe?« His smile brightened the room. I didn't know what to say so I just made a sour grin while standing at the door. »You're so cute. I'm really glad you came to see me Alex. See you later.«

He turned to the side and went to sleep. I just needed to be alone for a while, sit down and have coffee and a cig. I was totally drained.
