Bring me home.

Alex and I made our way back into the bus, barely able to contain our smiles.
"What got into you two?" Jack laughed as he threw Laura from where she had been perched on his lap after Alex gave him a condescending look.
"We got some good news is all." I shrugged but Alex tapped me on the shoulder, bouncing on the spot.
"I can't keep secrets, Rie Bear!" He whined and I couldn't help but chuckle as I slid off my jacket and moved to throw it into 'my' bunk, the one that never saw any use.
"Fine. Go ahead. You tell them." I giggled as I came back in and took a seat next to Zack.
Alex took a breath to calm himself and cleared his throat before beginning.
"Alright, so you guys have met Laura." He stated, making the boys give him 'duh, obviously' looks. "And Rie and I have become quite attached to her. Matt groaned and rolled his eyes as he stood up and waved.
"I know where this is going. I'll be playing FIFA." Alex and I giggled, knowing we'd never get it past him.
"Anyway, after seeing where she was staying we really didn't want to send her back." Laura's face lit up and her eyes darted around the room, taking in everyone's expressions. "The house was over crowded and falling to pieces, so we've made some arrangements." He left the room in silence for a moment until Zack piped up.
"Fucking tell us already!" I burst into laughter and Laura looked stunned at Zack actually shouting as the fans don't get to see him speak all that often.
"After the paperwork is finished next Friday, we'll be picking Laura up and she'll be officially under our care."
"I'm what!?" She squealed as Alex burst into a beam.
"We're fostering you, for now." I whispered to her and she practically fell on Alex, squeezing him tight in a hug.
"So she's coming on tour?" Jack mused and Alex nodded. We knew the guys might have some issues with a kid as young as Laura coming on tour but we assured them that they'd be fine and could carry on as normal.
"Where is she gonna sleep?" Matt piped in from where he had reappeared in the entrance to the bunk room.
"My bunk, obviously." I shrugged. It wasn't as if I used it for anything but storage anyway.
"Well you better go run her back if she's not coming with us tonight cause we have to leave in an hour and there's still packing to do." Matt rushed off the bus to check on the crews status as the took down the set and equipment we brought. Alex volunteered to drive Laura back to the foster home and I gave her a quick squeeze before they left, promising to see her again.

"Alex Gaskarth you have a kid." Jack scolded Alex as he jumped back on the bus.
"No, I don't." He screamed confusion as his band mates ganged up on him.
"Yes. You're fostering a fourteen year old girl." Zack smirked from one of the couched before Rian piped in.
"Dude, you're a dad." I jumped from my bunk and the boys shut up the moment I was in sight.
"Leave him alone, fuckers." I turned to Alex to scold him in my own way this time. "Where the fuck have you been? We leave in ten minutes. You spent an hour doing a ten minute job. All you had to do was drop her off." Alex sighed and flopped down next to Jack at the table.
"Well, I drove her there and then I went inside to check everything was being sorted with the carer and then I grabbed a box of her shit so she doesn't have to bring it all on Friday. It's in the back of the car." He said pointedly, showing he wasn't just fucking around for no reason. I shook my head and picked my talkie up off the shelf to radio Matt.
"Flyzik, we've got him.... yeah he's back... All set? Okay, we're good to leave." I put the talkie back and announced that I was going to sleep for the journey. "It's late, I'm tired, I'm sleeping. You lot do what you want. Matt'll be here in five and then we're driving." I walked back to the bunk that Alex and I slept in and slipped off my shoes before climbing in and kicking my clothes to the end of the bunk, leaving me in my bra and panties. The blankets were warm so I didn't need pyjamas and sharing a bus with about nine men made there no shortage of heat. The bus was fucking muggy at times. My head hit the pillow and I curled up against the wall, hugging myself, hearing Alex chatting away I knew he wouldn't be joining me soon. I griped the snowflake necklace Alex had given me before I left and was instantly pulled into a dream.

"Congratulations, Rie, it's a girl." The midwife cooed at the baby before handing the bundle to me. Alex sat next to me smiling, a tear in his eye.
"She's perfect." He mumbled and kissed my head. We sat there in perfect happiness until the one member of our family missing burst through the door.
"Fuck this!" Laura yelled as he pushed a hesitant Jack away. "You fucking adopt me and make me feel like everything is gonna be perfect and then you go and have this!" She yelled t me and Alex squeezed my hand.
"Li, you said you were happy about the baby?"
"I lied, okay!" Tears started falling down her face and Jack stood by the midwife, both of them not knowing what to do. "You cart me over to England just so you can have your precious kid in the place you were both born and you promise you'll never forget about me but you are all full of shit!" She turned and glared at Jack. "Even you! You say that the baby will never overshadow me and that you'll always keep me safe! But I know that the moment that... thing... goes home you'll all be all over it! No one will love me anymore!" Laura turned back to us and I clutched my bundle a little tighter. "I was just a filler until you guys got your own little family. Well, I don't want to be your filler anymore! Or your convenient in house baby sitter!" She broke down on the floor and sobbed. "I want to go back to America, to the home. Where I'm used to being ignored and unwanted. Just take me back!" She yelled the last line and we all stared at her. Gobsmacked.
