"Jack!" That annoying interviewer girl screamed as we walked back into the venue. What is she still doing here?



"Cadence! Hi!" He smiled and wrapped her in a hug, completely forgetting about me, "What are you doing here?"



"I was interviewing Lauren and Jon, but I stayed to see you," She smiled and hit his shoulder flirtatiously. Um?



"You didn't tell me that Cadence was the person interviewing you," Jack looked at me briefly before turning back to her.



"I didn't know that you two knew each other," I tried to keep my voice calm. This bitch is starting to piss me off.



"Oh me and Jack go way back," She smirked at me, "We were 'very close', as you would say, in high school."



"I'm sure you were," I rolled my eyes, "If you'll excuse us, me and my boyfriend have to get ready for the show." I pulled him quickly to the stage area. I could feel his eyes on me as we walked, "What?"



"What was that?" He wrinkled his eyebrows together.



"I don't know what you're talking about."



"Are you," He paused before saying the next word, "Jealous?"



Maybe. "Why would I be jealous?" I asked, a little bit harsher than intended.



"Lauren," He sighed, "Cadence is just a friend. What we had was in the past. You're the only girl I want."



Should I tell him what she said to me in the interview? No. He might think I'm lying. Or realize that he doesn't like me and that he likes her. I smiled, "I'm sorry, Jack. Can you blame me, though? She's gorgeous."



He kissed my forehead, "You're more gorgeous."



And in that moment I knew I had nothing to worry about.

Well I thought that I had nothing to worry about. Now I'm not so sure. We had just finished up our set and Jack wasn't standing there waiting for me like he usually is. No. Tonight he was sitting in the dressing room and talking with Cadence. I know I shouldn't overreact, but ugh can you really blame me? Jack is spending more time with his ex girlfriend than me, his current girlfriend. What I need is a guy's perspective.



"Alex, can I talk to you for a few minutes?" I asked him. He would know better than anyone what type of Jack advice to give.



"Sure," We walked to a quieter part of the backstage area, "What's up?"



I sighed. How exactly am I supposed to word this? "Jack has barely talked to me since we got back from seeing his mom because his ex-girlfriend Cadence is here," I explained, "And he told me I have nothing to worry about, that I'm the one he likes, but I don't know I just have a bad feeling about this."



"Wait, Cadence Peters?" He raised his eyebrows. He must be able to tell I don't know because he added, "Tall, bleach blonde hair, kind of slutty?" I would say more than kind of slutty, but hey.



"Yes," I nodded. I told him what she said in the interview about how she wanted to hook up with Jack.



He looked kind of nervous, "It's not really Jack that you should worry about. But Cadence... she's a different story. Just watch out for her."



"Thanks Alex," I answered after a while.



I took what he said into consideration and walked back to the room that Jack and Cadence were in.



I stopped dead in my tracks when I opened the door. What the fuck?

Ohh, drama! Bleh, I don't know how I feel about this chapter.
I'm kind of running out of ideas for this story. Like I know what I want to happen, but I'm not sure how to lead up to it. I hope that makes sense.
