It had been a week since Jack asked me to be his girlfriend, and I've loved every minute of it. He's the sweetest boyfriend ever. We haven't gotten the chance to go on an official first date yet, but we have a day off today, so he's taking me somewhere. But he won't tell me where. All he told me was to dress casually.



I threw on dark blue skinny jeans, a fitted white sweater, a grey scarf, and my grey Toms. Cute, yet casual. I let my red hair fall in simple waves, and didn't wear much makeup. Only foundation, mascara, and lipgloss.



Jack came by right as I finished getting ready.



"Hey baby, are you ready to go?" He smiled and kissed me. I nodded and we started walking hand in hand somewhere. "You look beautiful," He said to me.



"You don't look too bad yourself," I grinned at him and he chuckled. "Where are we going by the way?"



"I told you it's a surprise," He said in a 'duh' tone.



"Please," I pouted.



"Not going to work," He smirked.



"Meanie."



He chuckled and kissed my hair.



We arrived at a park five minutes later. Other than a couple of children and parents floating around, it was deserted. He led us over to a picnic set up in a deserted area of the park.



"Aww, Jack," I gushed, "Did you set this up yourself?"



He blushed and smiled, "I prepared the food, but I had Zack and Rian come set up while I got ready. I hope
you like it."



"Of course I do, this is amazing," I smiled sweetly and kissed his cheek.



We talked about everything as we ate. our likes and dislikes, our families, friends, and so on. He said that he likes Italian food, but dislikes Mexican food. I told him that I like peanut butter, but dislike peanuts. He told me about his older siblings, May and Joe, and I told him about my younger brother, Tyler. And we both talked about some of our friends from back home.



Lunch consisted of peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches and potato chips. It was nothing extravagent, but neither of us are really fancy anyway, so it works. After we finished our meal we layed down on the blanket with our hands intertwined and looked at the clouds.



"That one looks like a penis," Jack pointed at a cloud above us.



"It does not," I laughed.



"Then what does it look like?" He smirked.



"Hmm," I looked at it for a second, "Okay you're right. It does kind of look like a penis."



"Told you!" He smirked



I rolled my eyes as I laughed and sat up, "Race you to the swings?"



I took off before he could answer. I sat down in a swing an he came a second later, "That was mean." He pouted and crossed his arms like a little kid.



"I'm sorry. Will a kiss make it better?" I smiled at him. He nodded enthusiastically and I stood up and placed a soft kiss on his lips. He smiled and pulled me into another kiss.



Things were starting to get pretty heated, but an older woman started complaining, "Excuse me? No one wants to see you two swapping spit! There are children here!"



We broke apart and looked at her, trying not to laugh. "I'm sorry, mam. We'll try to act in an orderly manner." I said to her.



She rolled her eyes and walked back to who I assume was her kid.



We played on the playground for about an hour and a half and then left to go get ice cream.



"One chocolate chip cookie dough, and one chocolate please," Jack told the man as we got up to the cash register to pay.



"You didn't have to pay, Jack," I told him as we sat down, "I could have paid."



"I wanted to," He smiled.



We sat in a comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying the frozen goodness.



We finished up and headed back to the buses.



"Today was amazing, Jack," I smiled as we walked down the street, "Thank you for an amazing first date."



"I'm glad you enjoyed it," He smiled and put his arm around me, "Thank you for being an amazing girlfriend."



I grinned at his cheesiness and stood on my tip toes to kiss him.
