Fast times at Clairemont high

Once Alan fell asleep Oli told me to bring him in the other spare bedroom and I did, once I set him down Oli left the room and I followed him. Once we left Oli asked
“What are we going to do should we tell everyone or...?
“Honestly I don't know I think that tomorrow we should talk to Alan and see what he wants to do”
“Okay but I don't know if I'm willing to let him go back their what if this isn't the first time his Fathers done something like that to him?
“I know I know we just need to have a talk with him I'm just as worried as you if not more because I know what it's like to go through this”
“Fuck, I just can't believe this I've known him half of his life how haven't I figured it out”
“Don't blame yourself he never wanted you to know he was probably afraid of how'd you react if I met you guys in different circumstances you definitely have no idea about my dad so he obviously didn't want you too know”
“Did you see any bruises on him that looked older at all?”
“Yeah some looked a few weeks old”
Suddenly Alan screamed I ran to the guest bedroom he was on his he looked scared to death with his knees pulled to his chest crying. I ran to him and he hugged me tightly he was crying into my shoulder he obviously had a nightmare. Oli walked in and just rubbed his back to help calm him down, I'm surprised he doesn't mind the physical contact I still hate it in most situations but with a crying 12 year old I can deal with it he feels like a brother to me... they all do except Jaime I like like him, and I've known them less than a week.
“I'm sorry” Alan mumbled once he calmed down.
“You have nothing to be sorry for we all get nightmares sometimes”
“Yeah you're right”
“Hey Alan I have to ask you a question please, please answer honestly”
“Okay I'll answer as honestly as I can”
“Was today the first time your dad hit you?”
He hesitated before answering “N-no it-it's been goi-going on-on since I-I w-was ei-eight”
Oli butted in “Why didn't you tell us?”
“I-I wa-was scared o-of wha-what y-you'd thi-think o-of m-m-me, I d-didn't want to-to b-be a-a burden”
“That' four years Alan you should have told us, we would have understood?, what changed tonight from the other nights?” Oli said
“The other nights I could deal with the wounds on my own but I couldn't tonight” Alan mumbled
Oli just modded and said “You're not going back their you're staying here and it' up to you wether or not you want to tell the other guys, if you don't tell everyone I think you should at least tell Austin”
“I'll tell them tomorrow”
I squeezed his shoulder
“It's getting late, we should all get to bed” I said
“Oh shit, don't you have work tomorrow?” Alan said
“No my boss gave me the month off and I have to hire new people to work once October starts”
I replied.
“Can I get a job their, or am I a bit to young?”
“Of course you can I was your age when I started working their”
“Okay” He just nodded and smiled.
“Oli do you want a job”
Oli just started laughing and walked away.
“I'll take that as a definite no”
“Okay Alan I'll see you tomorrow”
“Wait, Juliette I don't know if I can fall back to sleep right away can we watch a movie or something together?” Alan looked at me with hopeful eyes.
“Of course you can pick a movie and I'll see if Oli actually went to sleep”
He just nodded.
I went upstairs and knocked on Oli's door he answered and looked really tired.
“Hey, Oli Alan couldn't sleep so we were going to watch a movie wanna join?”
“No thanks I'm just really really tired, if you want there's hot cocoa and popcorn”
“Okay thanks I'll buy more when we run out to make up for it goodnight”
“Goodnight” Oli said yawning.
I walked back downstairs and Alan was bouncing with excitement and he had The Rugrats movie in his hand.
“No Disney?, You're Austin's best friend I thought that was like a requirement” I said while laughing.
“Nope I prefer Nickelodeon”
“Wow! But Okay, want some popcorn and hot cocoa?”
He just nodded.
“Or do you prefer coffee to hot cocoa?”
“Definitely coffee”
“Do you like it with hot chocolate in it?”
“I've never tried it”
“Then I'm definitely making it like that, you'll love it”
“Can I have it with whipped cream?” He looked at me hopefully
“If there is any”
I went to the kitchen and put a bag of popcorn in and then started making the coffee then I poured a hot chocolate packet in each cup, 1 teaspoon of sugar and a splash of half and half. After that I added whipped cream to both and then I poured the popcorn into a bowl. After it was all done I walked out and the home screen of the movie was on and Alan grabbed 2 blanket and some pillows. Half way through the movie we took a break for more hot chocolate coffee. It was 3:30 am and I realized I had some bud left I figured we'd smoke it later in the day. Around 5 am the movie was over and neither of us wanted to sleep. I jut remembered we start back up at school tomorrow.
“Shit we have school tomorrow”
“Fuck!”
“At least I have someone in everyone of my classes and you're in like more then half my classes, Do you have someone in every class?”
“Yes”
“That's good wanna smoke?”
“Absolutely”
“Follow me Oli would kill us if we smoked inside”
Me and Alan shared 3 blunts.
“Shit, I'm in the mood to jam out!” Alan said
“What do you play?”
“I play guitar I don't own one I use Tony's and sometimes Jack's”
“I have a acoustic guitar do you wanna use it?”
“YES!, I would love too!”
“Okay I'll be right back I'll go and grab it.”
When I got in my room I stubbed my toe.
“Fuck” I said
Oli came in and said “Can you be...” He stopped when he saw my eyes “Are you high?”
“As a kite but that's besides the point sorry for waking you up” Oli laughed at me
“Why do you have your guitar?”
“Alan wanted to use it”
“Okay I'm coming I want to see him play”
When I went downstairs I handed Alan the guitar and he said “Sing I'm going to play All the small things by blink 182”
“Okay will do”
Alan started playing then I started singing along
At the end of the song Oli was staring at me “Why didn't you tell me you can sing?”
“I didn't think I was good and I usually don't sing in front of people”
“”Well good thing I recorded you two”
“You didn't”
“I did and sent it to everyone”
“Fuck you”
“I know you want to”
“Your so childish”
“You are too”
“True that but wanna know who's more childish then both of us?”
“Who”
“Alan”
Alan yelled “No I'm not”
Oli said “Yes you are but you have an excuse, you're still a child and children are childish”
After that we all calmed down and watched another movie this time I got to choose so I chose The nightmare before Christmas.
