You sat staring at the laptop, waiting for the interview to air. You wanted to watch him squirm under the embarrassing pressure and admit to the entire world what he had done. You looked down at your laptop, swiping through your twitter feed, waiting for the bombardment of tweets from angry fans. A bleep escaped your laptop and you pressed play on the screen as Oli's face appeared frozen next to the interviewer.
“Today we interview Oliver Sykes, lead singer of Bring Me The Horizon, on his life with long-time girlfriend Y/N and the recent events at Warped Tour. So Oli, how is Y/N?” Oli cracked his knuckled and sighed.
“She, um, she's just, uh, just woke up.” The interviewer laughed.
“A late sleeper?”
“No, she just woke up from, uh, a three week, uh, coma.” The look on the interviwers face was priceless and your phone started to vibrate in your hand as the tweets flowed through, but you couldn't bring yourself to look just yet.
“Oh my god, I'm so sorry, what happened?”
“No, don't be sorry. I was the one who put her there.” The interviewer went silent, staring at Oli, and through the screen you could see his eyes turning red from the tears. “I was drunk and angry one night, and I hit her in her temple and she blacked out. She didn't wake back up.” The interviewer stayed silent and looked at his hands. Oli readjusted his beanie and continued, he knew the interview was streaming live and that t\he had to continue to get any chance of returning to you.
“Earlier that day, a good friend of ours, Ashley Purdy, took us and the Quinn's wedding cake tasting, I was in a bad mood and felt it was too soon and spent the entire day in a strop. Y/N confronted me about it when we got home and, and she, she asked me what my problem was and I,
I...” He was choking through his tears to get the words out and you felt tears of your own well up. You hated to see him upset, it killed you, but it needed to happen. He needed a reality check. “I threw my glass across the room and hit her in the side of the head, she didn't wake up.” He fidgeted with his hands between wiping tears from his cheeks. “I called Austin who drove her to hospital. I pulled Bring Me The Horizon out of the last leg of Warped Tour, and due to our vast number of friends performing with the tour as well, Of Mice and Me, Black Veil Brides, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, All Time Low, Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, Asking Alexandria and Paramore pulled out also. The large number of bands leaving cause the tour to be cancelled, and, and, it's all my fault.” The interviewer finally broke out of their silence.
“So, the unexplained cancellation of Warped was due to... this?”
“Yes.” Oli's voice cracked and he buried his head in his hands and sobbed. Your phone was vibrating out of control by now but you stayed glued to the screen. “We are no longer engaged nor dating and I book into rehab in three days. Thank you.” Oli stood up and left the set, the player went black and announced the live stream had ended. You finally looked through your twitter feed and stared at the vast amount of differing views that were coming through. Many tagging you even though they were meant for Oli.

Stupid bitch deserved it anyway, Oli was too good for her. I'm glad theyre over.

The tweets were infinite and you posted an update of your own, trying to calm the vast amounts of angry fans that were raging at Oli.

You replied to a few supportive tweets and a few questions and then shut off twitter. The bands manager rang saying Kerrang! wanted to interview you on the issue tomorrow. You agreed, the fans needed to know that even though it did happen, and you were angry, that it was no need to bully Oli, holy shit the tweets were vicious. Fans were telling him to turn back to suicide, the jump off the bus while it was moving and one even suggested that Drop Dead do a line of domestic violence support t-shirts. Even through all the hate, a majority of the fans were just disappointed in him.
