Raleigh's POV
It was monday morning. Mondays suck, and they really suck when you're baby sister is in the hospital after having open heart surgery Saturday. They also suck when your other sister wont answer you at all, no matter how many times you beg her to answer her phone or read her texts. But they are a little bit better when your dad walks in your room and wakes you up by saying there are non-burnt pancakes downstairs with coffee.
"Leigh, you have to leave soon go get ready, because I know if you're anything like your mother you take forver to get ready." My dad said i finished my coffee, i nodded walking upstairs. My phone was going off, my friend Dean.
"Hey Dean, what's wrong girly?" i asked my friend. Dean is a girl, she thinks her parents were on Crack when they named her.
"My car broke down. Can you get me on your way to school?" Dean asked.
"Hang on." i put my phone down running downstairs, "Da.. Alex, can we get my friend Dean on the way to school?"
"Who's this Dean boy?"
"Dean's a girl. her car broke down." i explained.
"Well go get ready." he waved his hand at me. I rolled my eyes running back upstairs.
"Yeah, We'll get you." i told dean.
"who's we?" She asked.
"You'll find out later." i hung up, getting ready then running back downstairs. "well Mr. Gaskarth are you ready?" i asked, putting my hand on my hip.
"Get in the fucking car Raleigh Jae." he rolled his eye ushering me out the door, "Range Rover."
We pulled into Dean's driveway, she was sitting on the stoop waiting for us. She smiled running over and jumping in the car.
"Hey Raleigh, so who was the per...." she stopped as my dad turned around looking at her.
"So you're dean?" he asked, she nodded slowly. Dean is a huge All Time Low fan so she was a little nervous. "Leigh was telling me about you on the way from our house..."
"You... Live..." she couldnt make sentances.
"He's my dad." i told her, turning to face the front. "I think she took it well.." i looked at Alex, who turned again, and started laughing.
"Maybe not." he cracked up. i turned again and she was still in the same position. "Leigh, why dont you invite your friends over this afternoon."
"Ok, sure." I grinned at Dean, who finally blinked. "Dean, you alright hun?"
"Gahh...." she said, i reached back patting her face. "Raleigh, your not messing with me right? This is your dad?"
"He's my dad. Hes the only guy my mom has had sex with." i answered, Alex looked at me with a weird face.
"Your mom hasnt had sex with anyone? Really?" He seemed baffled.
"Yeah, she hasnt dated anyone either." i shrugged. we pulled into the school parking lot.
"wow, ok, well have a good day ladies. I'll get you from school too. Raleigh could you ask your sister if she wants a ride home too please?" Alex asked.
"Yeah sure." I got out of the car "Bye Al.. Dad" i smiled walking away.
"Bye Mr. Gaskarth!" Dean waved as she ran to catch up with me. "I cannot believe your dad is Alex."
"I've known for like a week and a half." i shrugged.
"why do you live with him? did your mom kick you out?" Dean asked.
"No!" i laughed "Rae is in the hospital again and i went to stay with him so my mom could focus on Rae not keeping an eye on me and Carol."
"Why didnt Caroline go?"
"She doesnt like him. But dont tell any of the guys, i want it to a surprise for later." I started towards my locker, Dean followed.
"Ok, i'll try but why is Rae in the hospital again?" Dean asked.
"Open Heart surgery again." I kicked my locker trying to open.
"Youre on Rae's locker." dean moved me down a locker. "But whta happened?"
"Saturday her heart opened back up they fixed it saturday night." i told her getting my stuff and turned around running into a girl. "Fuck you , get out of my way!" i yelled.
"Would mom approve of how you're talking big sis?" Caroline asked, with a smirk on her face.
"oh shut up Carol. Alex wants to know if you want a ride home." i snapped.
"No thanks." she walked away. i rolled my eyes, looking at Dean.
"Come on Raleigh." Dean pulled my backpack walking away. I followed.
