Me Without You

Alex grabbed my hand and led me back to where the boys were. He had said that they were at a near by McDonalds only five blocks away but knowing Alex we were probably going to make a few stops on the way. Before continuing far he turned around and kissed me on the cheek saying he was going to have to make up for lost time. That made me blush.

Alex picked up speed the longer we were walking and I was tripping up on the rough New York City sidewalk. He didn't seem to take notice of my endeavors in walking because he just kept picking up speed. I took a good long look at him and how he started to fill out his shirt and how he had grown out his scruff a little bit more. His hair was still messily sprawled over his forehead but now he had pink on the top. It suited him and it actually made him more attractive.

I also noticed how our hands molded together perfectly and how we had almost immediately gone back to our old ways of being what ever we were.

All to soon we came to a McDonalds and I spotted the three boys around a small table not paying attention to anything around them except themselves. I saw Jack throw food at Rian and Zack and how they glared at Jack in return not wanting to start anything. Suddenly, I got nervous. They looked so happy, so peaceful, they didn't need me back in their lives. Nervously I faced Alex biting my lip and staring at his chest and how it moved up and down as he breathed.

"I can't" I spat out shaking my head, nausea overcame me and I felt vomit coming up my throat. I pushed open the doors to the restaurant and sprinted past the guys towards the bathroom.

"Ashley?" Jack called in a confused voice but before he could really know it was me I was gone. What was I thinking? They didn't need me I was just a toy for them, they moved on.

I hunched over the toilet as I pucked my guts outs. I felt a pair of hands pull my hair back and stroke my back. Looking up my eyes met a concerned Alex asking if I was okay.

"Did you tell the boys it was me?" I gulped my heart racing, "No I just said I was going to the bathroom and Jack started rambling about how he thought he saw you but I said that was insane but then he said that I called saying I knew where you were, because I called him when I found out where you were but I covered that up by saying it wasn't really you." Alex rushed out and the only way I could get him to stop was by kissing him, so thats what I did.

"UHHHH grosssss!" He chuckled whipping his mouth, I laughed trying to keep down the rest of my sickness.

"Come on lets go see the boys." Alex extended his hand and helped me up, he slung his arm around me and we walked to the tables. As I approached Rian looked up and his face went as white as his teeth, when Zack saw Rian he looked up as well and just stared at me. Rian repeatedly hit Jack on the arm and when he didn't look up from his meal Rian shoved Jack's face up so that he saw me.

"ASHLEY!" Jack screamed running over to me and squishing me in a bear hug. "I have missed you so much oh my god!" He didn't let me go so Zack and Rian just had to verbally say how much they had missed me.

"Are you coming to the show?" Zack asked, "Oh um no I don't have tickets" I answered

"Don't be silly you're coming back stage with us its going to be fun and after we can party!" Alex said throwing his hands up.

well I guess this is going to be my night.

*After Party*

We made our way to one of the more popular clubs in the city. When we got there the line was around the corner and everyone was trying to push their way to the front. Some guard must have known who I was because he called out my name and said my friends and I could come on in.

Inside, everyone was hopping around and buying drinks. The music was blaring and a few people gave me knowing stares. Out of the corner of my eye I thought I had saw someone familiar but I shook it out of my head.

I felt Alex place his and on my back and push me to the side where no one was. When we were alone he started to kiss me, gently at first but soon he got rougher. He didn't stop until someone walked towards us and cleared their throat. Zack stood in front of us a disappointing look on his face, he shook his head at alex and grabbed his hand and they disappeared in the crowd.

Scratching my head I decided I need some air and walked out back into the ally way. Outside I heard heavy breathing behind me and I turned around and was met by the familiar face I thought I saw in the club. He slammed me against a wall and before I blacked out I heard him whisper

"History always repeats itself."

and then everything turned dark
