I swear I'm not that guy anymore.
I slightly opened my eyes giving them time to adjust to the light entering my bunk, despite the curtain being closed. I tried to roll over but realized there were arms wrapped around me. I squirmed a little, a little too far. I landed on the floor with a thud, all the air left my legs and I laid there. I rolled around trying to regain my breath. "Are you ok?" I heard Vic ask. I finally took in a breath and had enough energy to sit up.
"Why are you in my bunk?" I asked. His head was leaned out of my bunk. "The guys from... ATL needed a place to stay and it was either have one of them lay with you or me or Mike. I opted for me because Mike kicks in his sleep." I sat up a little more and leaned against the wall. "That makes sense." I said. I closed my eyes, just thinking about what was said last night. All those emotions escaping my body.
"Paige." I opened my eyes and Vic climbed out of my bunk sitting against the wall next to me. I looked at him. "Yeah." "Do you cut anymore?" He asked running his fingers over the cuts that marked my thighs. I pulled my knees up to my body. "No." Was all I said burying my head up to my nose so I could still see Vic. "How long?"
"Like 4 or 5 years." "That's really good." He said with a smile. "Thanks." I said standing up. I checked my phone, that was in my bunk. Alright, it's 11 o'clock, about time I got dressed. Bout time I got the awkward glances over with. I stretched and went into the back lounge. I unzipped my suit case and looked through for some clothes. I stood there thinking to myself. I could get two birds with one stone.
Have them regret picking on me, along with regret about last night and I could show them what they're missing. I got a grin on my face knowing the exact outfit I wanted to pull on my body. I slipped on my burgundy skinny jeans and the black skin tight top I owned. I did some make up not a lot and slipped on my bangles and watch to cover my scars. I put in some camera earrings, and a cuff. I slipped on my shoes and socks.
I walked into the bathroom and looked at my hair. I ruffed it up a little and added some lipstick, I don't know why but I thought I looked good. I left the bathroom and walked into the front lounge, all the guys were there sitting on the couch, feeling miserable I assume. "Damn, You look awesome." Mike said to me. I stopped. "Thank you." I said blushing. I never got compliments.
"Yeah, I'm almost tempted to get Jaime to dare us again." Tony said. I blushed harder and looked at the ground. I walked towards the door. "Where you going?" Vic asked. "I owe Zack breakfast, I don't break promises." I said leaving the bus. I walked down towards their bus, I started to get a weird feeling in my stomach like I should turn around, but it was too late I had already knocked on the door.
It swung open revealing a very hungover Jack. "Hey... Is Zack in here?" I asked shuffling on my feet. He didn't answer. "Earth to Jack." I said still no answer. I rolled my eyes and walked on the bus, there sat Rian, Alex and Zack. Rian and Alex just laying across one another. Zack was lifting weights. Jack stood behind me. "Umm..." I said, the three now noticed I was in the room.
"Zack, I still owe you breakfast... Did you wanna still go?" I asked. He dropped his weight and stood up. "Of course, Yeah." He said grabbing his phone and wallet. I turned to leave but bumped into Jack. "Sorry." I said with a little giggle. I walked past and opened the door. I jumped down. "Alright, I'm not a very big breakfast person, is it alright with you if we grab a burger?"
I asked. "Sure." He said smiling at me. We walked down the side walk towards a restaurant. "I'm sorry about last night." Zack said. I looked at him and stopped, I pulled him to a stop with me. "I'm the one that needs to apologize for last night, Alex told me to stop but he made me crazy." "Alex needs to apologize." "Well I'm sorry I made it so awkward for you last night." I said.
"Don't worry about it, you seem to be better today." He smiled at me. "Yeah, I feel better." I said as we walked into the restaurant. We got what we wanted and left the place. I paid just like I said, even though Zack grabbed the check again. We headed back to the venue. "Do you ever wish you could go back in time and stop something from happening?" Zack asked. I looked at him.
"Sure." "What would you stop?" He asked. I knew what he was expecting me to say, that I had never slept with Alex. "Calling my mom that day, It was my problem and I should have just dealt with it." I said he looked at me. "Why not say sleeping with Alex?" He asked. "Cause, at the time I thought I was special, it wasn't until it turned bad that I called my mom.... But you know what. I would stop my dad if my mom wasn't an option. It was hard loosing both of them at once."
I said as we continued towards the venue. We got to the back door and he held it open for me. I thanked him and walked inside. "You look awesome Paige." Matt said. I smiled. "Thanks, I tried." "Hey can I actually get your help?" He asked. "Sure, what are we doing?" "Sound check." He said. I followed behind him. We walked out on stage. "Just say each person's name into the mic and make some noises or whatever." Matt said walking away.
I stepped up to the left mic. "Zack, Zack, Zack. She clings to me like cellophane, big plastic submarine. Zack, zack." I laughed, as I sang all that. "Got it!" Matt yelled. I walked over tot he middle mic. "Alex, AALLEEXX! I'm just a kid and life is a nightmare. Alex, Ale-" "Alright, next!" Matt said. I walked over to the last mic.
"Jack, Jack the pumpkin King have grown so tired of the same old thing. Oh, somewhere deep inside these bones an emptiness began to grow. Jack, Jack." I said looking over at Matt. He was just staring at me. "Was the singing thing throwing you off?" I asked a blush creeping to my cheeks. "No, I liked it was all." He said. I looked back forward. "Jack, Jack, Jack." "Okey dokey. I got it. They're all set up." He said.
"I'm gonna go grab my camera." I said turning and running down the hallway towards the door to the venue. I pushed the door, knocking down someone in the process. "Oh shit! I'm sorry." I said laughing. I walked around the door and noticed Alex on the floor. I did the nice thing and kneeled down to help him up, that's when I noticed his nose was bleeding.
"Crap." I said. I did the only thing I could think of after I got him to his feet. I looked around for anyone, then decided fuck it. I pulled off my shirt and pushed it to his nose. I heard Alex try to talk. "Don't you'll make it worse." I said. I grabbed him and pulled him towards the PTV bus. I got him on and set him down on the couch. I ran into the bathroom filling a cup with warm water and grabbing a towel.
I sat next to Alex on the couch holding the towel to his nose. "I'm sorry Alex, I didn't mean for that to happen." He just stared at me the best he could. "I shouldn't have pushed the door open so hard." I said. I pulled the towel away to see if the bleeding had stopped. It did and I took the other end of the towel and dipped it in the warm water I had. Ever so gently I went around his nose, making sure I didn't push to hard.
"Ow." He said. I flinched a little. "Sorry, I'll be gentler." I said. He just stared at me. "I'm sorry again Ale-" "God, If you tell me sorry one more time." He said, his voice was a little naisally due to him not trying to breathe through his nose. I laughed a little. "Ok, Well just know I am. I would hate to ruin a show for your fans." I said. I finished wiping his nose and laid the towel in my lap.
He was still just staring at me. His eyes darted down and I realized I was in my bra. "Oh, right I should put on a shirt." I said hopping up. I went to the back lounge and quickly went through my suit case. I pulled out a shirt and turned around to put it on but my hand was stopped from putting it over my head. "Did I make you do those?" He asked. I could tell he was hurt. I just bit my lip.
"I mean it started all my problems off." I said looking up at his eyes, those light brown eyes. "I'm sorry, Paige." I waited for those words to come for so long. It felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder. I placed one hand on Alex's shoulder to hold me up, I felt a little dizzy. His right hand went across the cuts along my stomach, he fingers stopped when he felt the letters across my hip.
"What does that say?" He asked. Is it weird I loved the way his skin felt against mine. "S-slut." I said. His eyes went from my hip to my eyes, which had tears in them. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know any of my actions would cause anyone harm-" "Alex, no offense to the person you've become now but they broke me. Your actions changed my life forever. I'll never be walked down the isle by my father or get the chance for them to be grandparents."
I looked down at his right hand it took my left in it, waffling the two. "I'm so glad my cousin has forgiven me for leaving, or else I would have no more family. George has helped a tremendous amount. He helped me, along with help from Ali, quit all the bad habits I had. Including cutting." He looked at my face taking his left hand placing it on my cheek, wiping a tear away. "I cut on my thighs and wrists as well. I also did the word worthless down my ribs." His hand went down my neck and traced over the word on my right side.
"I'm so sorry. I swear I'm not that same guy anymore." "I know Alex, I've heard the music you've written. Plus the stories of you and your fans. It's just a shame all that good had to come at the expense of me." He pulled me into his chest, I rested my head on his neck. I wasn't that much shorter than him. I was crying. I finally calmed myself down a little and looked at him with a smile.
"What?" He asked. "You get blood on my shirt, from a nose bleed I started and I get tears on yours from a broken heart you caused. It's just a little weird..." "That you can forgive me this fast after being so mad at me for so long..." He finished. I nodded. "Well I'm gonna make it up to you I promise." I nodded again this time biting my lip. He smiled and let go of me. I slipped on my shirt. "I should get back out there for the show, you know." I smiled.
"Yeah, I'm gonna take pictures." I said reaching for my camera out of my bunk. I put my shirt into the sink and poured Hydrogen Peroxide on it. Alex and I walked off the bus, both not saying a word about what just transpired. We walked into the venue. "Alex! Where have you been?! And what happened to your nose?!" Alex looked at me. "Yeah, I hit him with a door by accident and now you have a bruise around it... Sorry again."
"It started to bleed but she got me." Alex said to Jack. "Ok..." Was all Jack said pulling Alex with him. He waved and I waved back taking my camera around the front of the stage with me. Maybe this tour wouldn't be so bad.

So I just read what you have of this, and really love it so far. I'm bummed to see it was never continued. :(
Shipping Alex and Paige in this story, even though he caused her a lot of pain. But it changed him and they just seem so cute together. It's a bit odd how Jack suddenly went after her, when it seemed like Zack was going to, so it's kind of a lot with three different possible love interests, but I love Paige's story. It's intense but I'm glad she was able to get through it, it just shows how strong she is as a character.
If you ever see yourself continuing this someday, I will be here to read. I think this story deserves an ending. <3
But if not, I just wanted to leave this comment letting you know readers are still stumbling across this and enjoying it. I think you're a really great writer, and hope you're at least still writing on your own time, as I see a lot of your stories have gone unfinished. But it happens.
