Outfit of the Chapter
What am I supposed to do?

The sound of Tigerlily’s cries for her mother echoed in the house. It was long gone but Max could still hear it. She was sitting in the hallway and just staring into air, wondering what just had happened. Even Ed just stared into air because even he had no idea what to do, say or even react. How do you react when the kids you love are taken from you, because someone you know reported you to social services?
"I have to call Alex" Max finally said. She got up on her legs but they failed her and she had to crawl over to her phone. Ed just continued to stare into air with wide eyes, almost ripping his hair off. Toilet paper was still laying around on the floor after their little lamb outfits.
"No one is answering" Max said and teared up. She called and called and called, but no one picked up.
"HE PROMISED TO ANSWER" she screamed and the tears started to fall down.
"And what are you going to say to him? That your kids got taken because of you? Because of him?" Ed asked and looked at her. She cried and looked back at him. She had no idea what to say.
"This is not happening" she cried and wiped her eyes.
"This is unreal" Ed whispered.

Max had changed into something better to wear and she had called Alex a few more times. But no answer.
"WHY IS HE NOT ANSWERING?" Max yelled and cried out again.

Alex tried to get his phone back but Jack held it away from him.
"No, you need one night off from your family and only focus on us and your fans" he said and Alex sighed.
"What if something happened?" Alex said.
"Like what? Tigerlily got a pea up her nose and it won’t come out?" Jack asked. Alex glared at him and sighed.
"Fine, I won’t touch the phone" Alex promised. Jack smiled and put the phone in his own pocket, with his own phone.

He was getting really annoyed when Max called for like the hundredth time, so he turned Alex phone off. But he regretted it ten minutes later and picked it up and saw that she had called about a hundred times more.
"Maybe something did happen" he whispered and looked over at Alex. Alex was talking to some girls and writing autographs, he smiled and he looked relaxed.
"It can wait another 30 minutes" he said and put the phone back into his pocket.

Alex got his phone back and saw that he had over a hundred missed calls from Max. He looked at Jack and Jack shrugged.
"Maybe something did happen" Jack said and swallowed nervously.
"I better call back" he said and got up. He walked over to the corner where he had some space, and heard the dial tones. The phone clicked and he heard sobbing on the other side.
"Max… Why are you crying?" Alex said and sighed a little.
"They took them" she cried and Alex got confused.
"Who took who?" Alex asked, and Jack looked over to him.
"Social Services was here earlier… they said something about us being reported as a bad family and took them" Max cried. Alex heart dropped and he took a deep breath.
"Do you mean them… as in… them?” he whispered and he felt the color in his face fade away.
"I can still hear Tigerlily’s cries" she sobbed and Alex felt his whole body tremble.
"Please tell me that this is just a bad joke" he said.
"Did you finally get a touch of him?" Ed asked in the background, and the sound of his voice made Alex heart drop even more.
"It’s no joke" Max cried. Alex took his jacket, took the car keys to their managers car and walked out the dressing room.
"ALEX?!" the others called after him. They still had the show but Alex didn’t care. He was going home. And that as fast as possible.
