Mother Daughter Time
Ed held the crying Tigerlily and listened to Max throwing up. Again. He was getting more frustrated by the minute. Then he got enough and walked up to the bathroom, hushed Tigerlily and hugged her.
"Max, you need to get to a hospital to see what the hell is wrong with you" he said.
"I’m fine, it’s just the chicken I ate the other week" she said. She was leaning against the toilet.
"That was two weeks ago, it’s not the chicken… it’s something else" Ed snapped.
"No it’s not, it’s probably just…" she began but hurled over the toilet and more came up.
"You’ve been like this for two weeks Max, you need so see someone" he said.
"I’m fine" Max said.
"How much weight have you lost?" he asked.
"Not that much" she said and looked at him, avoiding to answer.
"How much?" he demanded.
"about… 10… pounds" she swallowed and looked away.
"That’s it, I’m calling Alex" he said.
"No don’t" Max called out and panicked.
"Go to the hospital, or I’ll call him" he said.
"Fine… I’ll go" she muttered.
She put her grey sweatpants, now a little bit bigger, and a black t-shirt. She was feeling okay for the moment so she thought she could driver herself to the hospital.
"Will you be okay?" Ed asked and place Tigerlily on his hip. Max smiled and nodded, but she was still pale and when Ed looked at her he got a bit scared. Her collarbones was awfully clear today. Her neck was thinner than usual and she had tired bags under her eyes. Even her hair was dull at the moment.
"Call me when you’ve been there, okay?" he said.
"I promise" she said and nodded.
She was glad she brought a bucket in the car, because she had to stop three times before she made it to the hospital. Then she threw up two more times before she picked up her phone and called in to the hospital.
"Hi, my name is Maxine Gaskarth and I’m sitting outside your hospital right now. The reason I’m calling is because I’ve been throwing up for about two weeks now and I don’t want to walk in the front door if it’s something contagious" she said. They handled it pretty well and they made her walk through a backdoor before they put her in a quarantine room.
"So Mrs Gaskarth, for how long have you been throwing up?" the doctor asked.
"About two weeks, I’ve lost 10 pounds and everything began after I ate some half raw chicken" she said and took a deep breath.
"Are you feeling sick right now?" he asked. Max nodded and he held out a bucket for her, and she threw up water and bile.
"We are going to do some tests and then we’ll try to figure out what this is" he said and smiled.
They took a few blood tests and they took samples from her vomit. But they didn’t seem to find something. Then after a few hours a woman walked in and she smiled.
"Well you’re lucky, you don’t have to stay in quarantine" she said.
"I don’t?" Max asked.
"No, because what you are suffering from is not contagious" she said.
"That explains why my daughter didn’t caught it" Max said and sighed in relief.
"We need to do an ultrasound though" she said.
"What? What for?" Max asked.
"You have an very abnormal high hormone result, and we would like to take a look to see if you’re pregnant" she said and smiled.
"Pregnant? I can’t be pregnant" Max said and got confused.
"You have every symptom when it comes to severe morning sickness, and your blood have a lot of hormones in it, even more than a normal pregnancy" she said.
"What?" Max gasped and stared at her.
"So an ultrasound?" she asked, and Max nodded.
The cold stick up her vagina was not the feeling Max liked. But if she was pregnant that was the only way to tell. But pregnant? Yes she had been throwing up and felt a carving for chicken, but pregnant? No. She threw up way too much for just having morning sickness. Then she heard the beat of a heart from the screen. Max just stared at it. She was pregnant. she had someone inside of her.
"Why is the screen looking so different from last time?" she asked.
"Two hearts" she answered, a bit surprised.
"MY BABY GOT TWO HEARTS?" Max gasped.
"No Mrs Gaskarth, there are two babies" she answered and smiled.
"Two?" Max asked.
"You are carrying twins" she answered and Max just stared at her.

Alex knocked on the door and it opened. Jenna smiled at them all and she wrapped her arms around Alex neck, and he hugged her back.
"Hi Jenna" Zack said and smiled.
"We are going to have an amazing week together" she said and smiled so big the others smiled as well. She walked inside and Alex smiled.
"I had forgotten what contagious smile she’s got" he said.
"Me too actually" Jack said.
"And it’s so gorgeous" Alex chuckled and they walked inside.

that was absolutely amazing. OMG I LOVED IT. it was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. wish there was a sequel. but it ended beautifully.
