It didn’t matter how many texts and how many times Max tried to call Bella. She just wouldn’t pick up. So when she waited at the airport for the boys she decided to give her one last call.
"Hi Bella, it’s Max. Again. I just wanted you to know that… I’m leaving for Baltimore today, I wish you could have picked up so I could have been able to say goodbye properly and tell you that I’m sorry, since I don’t know when I will come to London again for a while. But anyway… i’m sorry for not saying anything about Alex" Max said and heard a small beep that made it clear that the recording time was over. She sighed and looked at her phone and and scratched her head a little. She had the pizza beanie on, a yellow tee, a black cardigan and ripped jeans. And of course her lovely and most comfortable vans. The black ones.
"the only thin missing is All Time Low" Max muttered and looked around. She was sure that Alex had said 10 to her, and here she was. Waiting for them exactly by the place he had told her to wait. London Heathrow Airport, 10 o’clock, just inside the doors. Not a minute later or they would go without her. Yet when Max looked at her phone, the time showed 10.17.
"Where the fuck are they?" she muttered and looked around again.

Almost 6 hours later, and still no sign of Alex and the others, Max started to get worried. Had she missed the plane and they went without her? No Alex was just kidding when he said that. Or was he? With a sigh she sat down next to her suitcase and leaned her head against her knees. For some reason she knew what all this was about. That Alex had just given her the wrong time. there was no other explanation.

Hours later, when the clock turned 10 again but in the evening, Alex and the others entered the airport. They all laughed and talked about all the amazing things they had seen in town today in town.
"God, I’m gonna missa London" Zack said and stretched.
"Hey, isn’t that Max?" Jack asked and pointed towards the girl sitting next to her suitcase, sleeping and leaning her head against her knees.
"I think it is" Alex said and got a bit confused. She couldn’t possibly be sleeping, could she? So he walked over to her and crouched, and laid a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey Max, are you awake?" he asked, and she jumped a little and looked up. Her eyes was sleepy and she looked really tired. She really had been sleeping.
"How long have you been here?" Rian asked when he saw the small amount of trash beside her.
"Didn’t you say 10?" Max asked and looked at Alex, and Alex looked at her and nodded. He didn’t need to hear her say it. He already knew she had been here for hours.
"Didn’t I say 10pm?" he asked.
"No, you only said ten so I assumed you meant in the morning" she said and yawned. Alex stared at her and felt guilty, and the others looked at him. Did he really forget to mention PM? Wow.
"Let’s go and check in our bags" Alex said and helped her up on her feet.

The others was walking a bit ahead and Alex looked at Max. She was about a head shorter than him, maybe around 5’4. He hadn’t noticed until now to be honest. But she was just the right height.
"I’m really sorry for making you wait here all day" he murmured. She looked at him with her tired eyes and smiled.
"It’s okay, I should have asked if it was am or pm, and not assume things" she said.
"I mean it, I’m sorry" he said.
"And i mean it as well, it’s okay" she said.
They checked in their bags and got their tickets. Jack and Rian wanted something to eat, so they all headed to one of the restaurants.
"When is the flight due?" Max asked as she got her milkshake and chicken wrap. Alex turned around and looked at her and smiled.
"It will take off 00.49" he said. She nodded and rolled her shoulders a little, and Alex paid for her food.
"It’s at least what I can do" he said with a chuckle.
"I should have bought some ice-cream, pie and muffins as well" Max muttered and they both laughed.
"You can have cupcakes on the plane" he said and took a sip from her milkshake.
"Look at you, all lovey dovey" Jack teased and winked.
"Oh, this milkshake almost landed on your head Jack" Max said with a sarcastic tone. Alex laughed and sat down, and Max sat down next to Jack across the table from Alex.
"Keep your woman calm Alex, like… put her in a leash" Jack said and looked at Alex. Max dipped her finger in her garlic dressing and before Jack could see what she was doing she poked his cheek with a splash. Jack slowly turned and looked at her and the others just stared, before they all bursted out laughing. Everyone except Jack who just stared, a bit surprised, at Max.
"What?" she asked and put her finger in her mouth and sucked it clean. Jack just stared and then at Alex.
"She just poked me with garlic dressing, and you’re just laughing?" he said.
"What? It’s just dressing" Alex winked. Then Jack laughed as well and wiped of his face, but he made sure to poke Max a few times before they finally could board their plane, as revenge.

Almost 8 hours later they walked out from the airport and Max just stared. It was a complete different aura over this place and Alex smiled when he saw how amazed she was. She stared around and he nodded towards a small buss. Max reached for her suitcase but Alex took it before her, put it in the back and gestured for her to jump in before him.
"It’s going to be so good to get home to my own bed" Alex said and stretched out his legs.
"But be prepared Alex, you are probably going to have to deal with Bri as soon as you get home" Jack said. Max felt that Alex shivered a little.
"Oh I can’t wait for that" he murmured and looked out the window. Max looked at him and she saw how troubled he really was, and she felt a little bit of comfort in knowing she might help him. Even if it was a fake marriage, a few months in a complete new country and a new place. It could bring a few troubles and it would probably be tough, but if she could help she would do it. She would hold on.
