She had already appeared in three magazines as a fashion model and had walked on a minor runway show. Her hair was no longer in a red shade but in her old brown, as she had when she was young, and her skin was really pale. Alex was still in the middle of tour and tonight they would play in Miami, and Max happened to be there as well. So she thought she might as well go and see her beloved one. Since it had been a few weeks and he didn’t knew she had a completely new hair color. Again.

She came up to the venue and saw a few of their fans outside. It was still many hours before their shows but kids was already showing up.
"Isn’t that Max?" someone called and pointed at her. Max smiled and waved a little. She had a black and white dress on, a hat and her hair was long and curly. The only color she had was on her feet in her new favorite boots.
"I can really see why Alex like her" someone else said and Max smiled. It felt good that the fans started to like her. Even if it was just a little.
"See why? Hell no, she’s fat and ugly and just look at her damp hair" someone else said and Max bit her lip. It was hard enough to know that she wasn’t the thinnest model, and hearing the fans calling her fat was not exactly what she wanted to hear. The guard by the door recognized her and let her in, and she thanked him for opening the door for her. And when she got inside it was chaos. Apparently a few fans was going nuts on the meet and greet, and Max just stood there for a second and stared as girls fought and guards tried to get them to calm down.
"And who are you?" some old man asked and glared at her.
"Ben, relax. That’s the vocalist fiancé" someone else said and some of the girls stopped and stared at Max. Before they could do anything she hurried in backstage and ran for the dressing room.
"Well congratulations for getting away from the guards" Jack said behind her. She turned around and sighed in relief.
"Max?" Alex asked and jumped up from the couch.
"I thought I was going to come and say hi since I was in town but wow… the girls out there" Max said.
"I know, they are going nuts" Zack said.
"Nuts is an understatement" Max said and shook her head. Alex walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist and smiled, and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"Well hello" she said and kissed him back.
"Cass sent over pictures from on of the magazines and you looked really good" he said.
"They had used way too much photoshop on me, but yeah… I like the pictures as well" Max said and laughed.

The sound to Lost in Stereo was blasting through the speakers and Max walked backstage and to the dressing room. She was a bit tired and felt that she wanted to get something to drink. As she entered the dressing room she felt that something wasn’t right immediately. She looked around but couldn’t see something that looked odd. Even Matt was sitting in his corner working like usual.
"What?" Matt asked and looked at her.
"Something feels… odd" she said.
"Maybe it’s just your head, you look a bit… pale" he said and frowned.
"I just have this feeling" she said and shook her head. She took a bottle of water and walked out to get some air. Which she of course regretted when Charlie suddenly appeared beside her.
"I really like your hair" he said and sniffed her hair. Max backed and shook her head.
"Get the fuck away from me" she spat out.
"Don’t snap at me Max, I just love you for who you are" he said.
"Charlie for fuck sake, you know nothing about me" she said and backed even more.
"Your name is Maxine Clayton, you are 24 years old and before you came to the States you lived in your mothers house in London. Your best friend, or ex best friend, Bella is expecting your fathers baby and your sibling. You had a fake engagement, now real, with Alex. You had a scar on your shoulders before you used plastic surgery to get it away, like the scar Bri made on your face when she tortured you" he said. Max stared at him and he smiled.
"I know a lot more as well" he said with a grin. She shivered.
"Leave me alone" she whispered, her voice shaking a little.
"Max where are you?" Matt called from one of the doors. Charlie looked at him and then at Max, he leaned in and kissed her and she pushed him away.
"I’ll see you later" he whispered and disappeared in the shadows. She teared up and spat out on the ground, and Matt came up to her.
"Was that Charlie?" he asked, a bit surprised and she looked at him. She didn’t need to answer.

Alex freaked out when he got to know that Charlie had appeared again. Months had gone by since last time and now he even kissed Max.
"He’s getting more and more on" she whispered.
"We need to get you some protection of some kind" Matt said.
"Like what?" she said and felt hopeless.
"What about a body guard?" Jack said and looked at them all.
"That would be good, then you never need to be alone" Rian said.
"I’ll make some calls" Alex said and sighed.

Alex walked in and behind him stood a very tattooed guy, tall and with black hair and brown eyes. His skin was a little bit dark but just a few shades. When he saw Max she just stared at him.
"This is Eduardo Cortez, your new bodyguard” Alex said.
"Nice to meet you, you cal call med Ed" he said and held out his hand. She smiled and took his hand in her and felt that he had a firm grip, which made her relax a little. Even if he was tall and didn’t really have any muscles he was still strong.
"Max" she said and smile.
"And no flirting between the two of you" Alex said and looked all serious.
"Well Max, what do you say I take you out on a small date with dinner, going to the movies and then a walk under the stars?" Ed winked.
"Why not? I can forget about Alex for one night" she said and got the hint that he was joking. Alex frowned.
"Hey" he said and crossed his arms.
"You can relax Alex, first of all I’m bisexual, and I already have a boyfriend. Your fiancé is hot, but I’m not interested" Ed said and smiled at Alex. It was fun to see him next to Alex because he was about 6’4 tall and next to Alex he looked really tall. Since Alex was only 6 feet.
"Well then Ed, I still want dinner" Max said and got up on her feet.
"Good, then I can get to know you a little and get to know about this Charlie" Ed said and nodded.
