Damned If I Do Ya

Any Other Way

It was the last week of tour, just a month left till Jack and I finally tied the knot. To put it gently, I was currently the happiest most scared out of her mind girl on the planet. We had finished up nearly everything we could. There was still fitting to do, but we got Adam Elmakias to do our photos. Jack and I managed to pick out a nice guest book, some flowers, and got a custom made topper for the cake. Being the losers we were, we had the statues of us done in a sort of...Tim Burton clay figure way. They were even adjustable, a little big, but hey whatever.

The boys were playing a show right now, while I was checking over everyone's job, making sure they were being done. Matt gave me this task cause he couldn't be bothered to do it. I was making my way to Jeff's booth, which involved walking outside the crowd. I tried to stay inconspicuous because ever since Jack announced our engagement, fans pestered me a lot. Not all bad things, actually, a lot of them came to like me and support it after someone got a hold of my twitter and I got millions a questions. Jack told me not to bother always responding to people, but I did my best.

When I made it there, I called over the music to see if everything was going smoothly. Jeff had given me a thumbs up and I turned my attention to the stage. The boys looked great today, but my eyes were mainly on the idiot who was picking up bras and flinging them at Rian. I couldn't believe that I was going to spend the rest of my life with him, but damn am I glad I will be.

As I made my way back to the green room, I found Matt trying to lay down.

“Mickey, everything is running smoothly.”
“Great, wanna make sure the boys get right back on the bus? We need to leave immediately.” He asked, not even sitting up.
“Dude, I'm not doing all of your job.”
“I'll take care of taking down the set and packing the van.”
“Do you're job Flyzik.” I teased. “I have to take care of other things.”
“Like what?” He asked, pouting as he got up.
“Like, how about a wedding that's in a month?”
“I hate you.”
“Love you too,” I heard Alex talking. “Boys are done, go get 'em.”
“I'm sending Jack to you.” He muttered leaving.
“Oh God, not my future husband.” I faked gasped.

I started cleaning up the green room, hearing Matt barking orders. He always got so stressed when tour was ending. Something about the last few shows have to be absolutely perfect. I was just about done when a sweaty body knocked into me.

“Emmmmber! Tonight was amazing.” Jack yelled, before burying his face in my hair. “I can't believe it's almost over.”
“I know,” I chuckled, and he set me back down to turn me to face him. “But we'll see everyone again at the wedding.”
“And some before that.” He pecked my nose. “Which reminds me, what are the hotel arrangements again?” He asked and started helping me break down the green room.
“You're hopeless.” I laughed. “Our room is the suite on the fifth floor. Our parties rooms are down the hall from it, and everyone else has booked the rooms I reserved.”
“So, are mom and Carl on our floor?”
“They're going back home that night, genius.” I said, and we left the room once everything was picked up and ready to go. “Shouldn't you be talking to Alex about your bachelor party? You're still doing that after tour, right?”
“Yeah, but I don't get to know what we're doing.” He said, and I shrugged.
“As long as there's no strippers.”
“You're no fuuuun.”

Jack and I continued to talk, adding in some wedding things to talk about. I had asked him if he wanted to not see the dress till the day of like tradition. His exact words were 'I wanna do this the right way, so no.' I didn't really care either way, but it would be interesting spend nearly a day away from each other until the ceremony. When everyone else piled on the bus, and it was time to get moving, I busied myself with going over stock of merch with Vinny to make sure no money was lost.

The last show, the last night, went out with a bang. Alex got all of the crew on stage, and when I walked out, I got the loudest cheers which turned to wolf whistles when Jack kissed me. Lucky, this was a home show, and I couldn't wait to go home, see my puppy, sleep in my bed, everything. It would be nice.

The boys ended with Weightless, and as soon as everything was broken down, packed up and ready to go, Jack dragged me off to grab our things and go home with little time to say goodbye and see you later to everyone. The ride was quick, and thankfully, Hayley had taken Bailey back home that day so when we walked in we were met with our now twice her old size puppy, barking up a storm at seeing her parents.

“Bailey!” I squealed, bags forgotten and I was already on the ground with her getting kissed and hugs. “Mommy's sorry, I won't leave you that long again.”
“You know that's a lie.” Jack laughed, getting everything in and shutting the door.
“Shut it, Barakat.” I teased, standing back up even though Bailey was still nudging at me for attention.
“You know, I get to call you that too soon.” He said, hugging me.
“Very soon.” I agreed, leaning up for a kiss.
“You smell like dog.” He mumbled against my lips.
“You smell like jerk.”

Jack might be immature and silly, but hell, so am I. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Notes

Ohhh, the wedding is soon! So soon <3 This is sadly a little filler, but tour had to end eventually.
