The Party.
Chapter 1 of 2
Beep beep beep went my alarm clock. I groaned and rolled out of bed, it was Friday today, Friday 31st of October. Also known as Halloween. Jack's having a party tonight and Zack and I are going as vampire twins.
"Alex, hurry up or you'll miss the bus again!" Mum shouted. I finished getting dressed and ran downstairs.
"Here's your bag, lunch money's in the front." Mum said as she handed me my bag.
"Thanks Mum, see you later!" I shouted as I ran out of the door and to the bus stop. As usual, Rian was sat there waiting for me.
"So are you going to Jack's party tonight?" Rian asked.
"Hell yeah!" I said as the bus pulled up. We climbed on and sat in our usual seats.
"What are you going as?" He asked.
"Zack and I are going as vampire twins" I replied.
"Lame!" Rian shouted.
"Well what are you going as?" I asked.
"A giant banana" He grinned. I stared at him for a minute and then burst out laughing.
"Are you being serious" I asked after I stopped laughing.
"Yeah" He said, looking a little hurt.
"Well I like the idea, but I'm not helping you if you get beaten up" I replied. Rian didn't say anything after that, so the rest of the journey was pretty silent.
We got to school 15 minutes later and Jack and Zack were waiting for us at the gate.
"Did you get the costumes?" Zack asked.
"Yeah, Mum got 'em last night" I replied.
"This party's going to be awesome!" Jack shouted.
"Hey Rian, tell them what you're going as" I said, trying to hold in my laughter.
"A giant banana!" He said proudly. Zack and Jack burst out laughing.
"Its crazy, but I really want to see it" Jack said.
"Tonight's going to be even better than I thought!" Zack laughed. after we all stopped laughing, we made our way to our first lesson: English.
"Oh my god, I hate that lesson" Rian groaned as we walked out of English.
"Me too, that teacher gives us way too much homework!" Zack said. That was the only lesson we all have together today, so we all went our separate ways. I had music next, but since that was on the other side of the school I had to run there. It was no use though, I ended up being 3 minutes late.
"Nice of you to join us, Alex" My music teacher, Mr Franceschi said as I walked in.
"Sorry I'm late sir" I said as I took my seat next to Shannon.
"So have you got a date for the party tonight?" She asked whilst twirling her bleach blonde hair.
"Uh, no" I replied. I didn't really like Shannon, but she was seriously obsessed with me.
"You could always take me" She winked.
"Sorry Shannon, but that's never gonna happen." I said rather rudely.
"Whatever" She said and started flirting with the guy on her left. What a slut. I turned my attention to Mr Franceschi who was showing us some chords on the piano that I already knew, so I zoned out and let my mind wonder.
Music finally ended and I made my way to the lunch hall to meet Jack, Rian and Zack.
After another painful 3 hours at school, it was finally over. We all went our separate ways, Rian getting a lift from his girlfriend Cassadee, Jack getting a lift from his brother and Zack and I getting the 102 bus back to my house to get ready for the party tonight.
"Hey boys, there's crisps and orange juice upstairs for you" Mum said as we walked into the kitchen.
"Thanks" Zack and I both said at the same time.
"So what time do you want me to pick you both up?" She asked.
"I'll call you" I said. She nodded and we made our way upstairs. We ate our crisps and drank our juice in silence, then I walked over to the wardrobe, pulled the costumes out and handed them to Zack.
"Alex, these are awesome!" He said. I laughed, I knew he's love them.
"Go in the bathroom and try yours on" I replied. He left the room and came back about 3 minutes with the costume on. It fit him perfectly.
"It looks great!" I said.
"I love it" He replied.
"Glad you like it, You can get changed if you want, the party isn't for a few hours yet" I told him. He nodded and went back into the bathroom to get changed again.
"So what are we going to do now?" Zack asked as he walked back in.
"Xbox?" I suggested.
"Why not" He replied. I popped in GTA 5 and handed him a controller.
"Shit Zack, we've got an hour to get ready and get there!" I shouted a few hours later. We jumped up, spiked our hair up with hair gel and put our costumes on.
"Mum, are you ready to go?" I asked as we came running down the stairs.
"Yeah and you look great! I knew the costumes would look good!" She said. We both smiled and followed her out to the car. On the way, Mum asked Zack a few questions about how his family was and how school was going, I didn't catch much of the conversation as I zoned out, something I do a lot.
Mum pulled up outside Jack's house.
"You boys be sensible and call me when you want me to pick you up" She said.
"Will do. See you later!" I shouted as we climbed out of the car. We walked into Jack's house and the decorations looked great. We found Jack sat at the breakfast bar which was converted to a bar for the night and we went over and sat next to him.
About 2 hours into the party and it's gone amazing so far! Suddenly, the music cut off.
"Who's up for a party in the woods?" A half drunk Jack shouted as he climbed onto his coffee table. Everyone cheered and made their way out of the back door and into the woods.
"You sure this is a good idea" I asked banana man, also known as Rian.
"I dunno man, but what's the worst that could happen, eh?" He replied. I just shrugged and followed everyone else out.
About and hour later, everyone was even more drunk that before. Jack's idea to move the party into the woods was a hit! Suddenly, the loudest scream ever plunged us all into silence. Everyone just stood there trying to figure out where it came from. I knew coming out here was a bad idea.
