Ashley POV:

We lay like that for a while. Both quiet, enjoying each others presence. I lay with my head on his chest and his arm was wrapped around my naked body. When we both got hungry, we decided to go to McDonalds and after we finished eating, Alex thought it was a good idea to stop by Jack, Rian, Zack and Emily to invite them over tomorrow night.

The first stop was Zack's house. "Hey guys." he said with a smile on his face. "Come in." I followed him inside with Alex walking behind me. "Want something to drink?" he asked. "No thanks, we just got back from McDonalds." Alex answered. "And we can't stay long. We just came to invite you actually." "Yeah well, because my birthday party of last night didn't really went well, I would like it if you could come over tomorrow night to do it over." I explained. "And we have an important announcement to make." Alex smiled proudly. Zack raised an eyebrow. "Are you getting married?" Alex and I both laughed. "You'll hear it tomorrow." Alex finally said. "I'll be there." Zack winked. We said bye and made our second stop at Rian and Cassadee's appartment. They were very enthusiastic and happy to see I was feeling better. "Of course we're coming! You've made us very curious with that 'big announcement'." Cassadee had said.

Next stop was Jack, who opened the door with a huge smile on his face. "Ashley, Alex!" He pulled us into a hug and lead us inside to the living room. When we entered the living room, Alex and I looked at each other in surprise. Emily was sitting in the couch. "Hey." she smiled at us. "Hey, Em." I smiled back and she could tell by the look on my face everything went well. Alex explained the whole thing about tomorrow night and again added the sentence about the 'big announcement'. "Oh shut up, Alex. We knew she was pregnant before you did." Jack laughed. Alex raised an eyebrow at me and I explained everything that had happened the night before and that I took the test at Emily's this morning. "Congrats, man." Jack gave Alex a bro hug and then turned to me. "Congratulations Ashley." he smiled and hugged me as well. Emily followed Jack's lead and hugged both me and Alex as well. "I'm so happy for you guys." she said. We stayed a while and talked about a lot of things. When it was about to get dark, Alex took my hand and leaned in to whisper into my ear. "It's time for your present." He said and I smiled. "So, we'll see you two tomorrow night?" Alex said, standing up from the couch. "Uhm, yeaah!" Jack smiled widely. I hugged them once more and we said goodbye.

"Put on a warm sweater, and wait for me at the rooftop. I'm going to get your present." he planted a kiss on my cheek. I did what he'd told me to do and after I found my favorite sweater, I walked upstairs and opened the door to the roof. It was a cold, but beautiful night with a lot of stars lighting up the sky. I sat down on the cold floor and thought about the last time I sat here. The first time Alex took me here, his favorite place, where he had never taken anybody else. Not even Lisa. I smiled at the memory and looked up when I heard the door open and close again. Alex came to sit down next to me, a smile on his gorgeous face. "Okay, this one first." he handed me the first present. I unwrapped it quickly and a huge smile appeared on my face. "Aww, thanks!" It was the DVD of my favorite movie of the moment, Safe Haven.I leaned in and kissed him. When he ended the kiss, he stroke my cheek and looked into my eyes. His eyes were soft and his wide smile was turned into a small crooked smile. "It was difficult to find you the perfect birthday present, nothing was good enough. And then.. I thought of this." he said softly and handed me a small notebook. At the cover was Alex' name written in a sloppy handwriting. "Alex, wha-" "Just read it." he said before I could finish my sentence. I opened the notebook and started reading the first page.
