Oh Life
Ten.
Ashley POV:
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Ashleeeey. Happy birthday to you!" I woke up to the beautiful sound of Alex singing. I yawned and smiled at him. "How does it feel to be 25 years old?" he grinned and kissed me before I could say anything. "Great." I smiled against his lips and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him on the bed. "I would love to cuddle with you right now, but there are pancakes waiting for you downstairs." he said and kissed me again. "I don't want to get out of bed." I pouted. "Then I'll carry you downstairs." he grinned and the next moment I was in his strong arms. "I can get used to this." I smiled. "Don't expect me to do that every morning, it's just because it's your birthday." I pouted and he put me down on the kitchen chair. "So what do you want to drink? We have water, milk, orange juice, apple juice.." Alex said while looking in the fridge. Suddenly I felt really nauseous, like I had to vomit. I stood up and ran immediately to the bathroom, I was just in time. I heard Alex enter the bathroom and he held my hair out of my face. "It's okay, it's okay." he whispered while rubbing my back. "Here is some water." he said when I was done and handed me a glass of water. "Thanks." I answered and took a sip. "What's wrong?" he asked me. "I don't know.." I shrugged. It's so typical that this had to happen on my birthday.. Hopefully I would be better tonight when everyone came over.
"Maybe you should rest. You'll feel better when you wake up." I nodded and lay down on the couch, my head on Alex' lap. He stroked my hair and soon I fell asleep.
Emily POV:
Tonight was Ashley's birthday party. She didn't want us to throw a big party, so we would just go to her place around 7. I wasn't really looking forward to it. I mean, Noah and Jack were going to be there. Noah had been very understanding when I broke up with him, guess he'd seen it coming, and he was still friendly and all that. But that doesn't mean it wasn't going to be awkward, especially with Jack in the same room. I didn't really know how to act around Jack. I was still angry because of what he did, but I would be friendly to him for Ashley. The last thing I wanted to do was fight with Jack on my bestfriends birthday.
I thought of the fact that I still had to get Ashley a present. I remembered that she told me she wanted new perfume, so I guess that was going to be my present. I grabbed my purse and walked out of the door. It wasn't a long walk to the shop and the weather was nice. Fall was my favourite season. Ashley had never understood that, she was more of a summer-type. I liked summer too, but fall just has someting special.
When I entered the store I tried several perfumes. After 7 awful perfumes I finally found the right scent for Ashley. I knew she would love it. I was a bit expensive, but hey, she is my bestfriend and she deserves only the best. I paid for it and walked out of the shop again with my present for Ashley.
When I got home again, it was 5 and I decided to get ready for the small party.
