Halloween Writing Contest! {BACK-UP ENTRY OPEN!}
The Rules.
[1] You are given the choice to write a one-shot or short story. If you decide to write a one-shot, it must contain at least 1,000 words. If you decide to write a short story, there is no word limit, but it cannot be any longer than four chapters. If you're going to do a short story, please keep in mind it has to revolve around Halloween, which means you can't do much of a time lapse.
[2] Each of you will be assigned a slot number. When posting time rolls around, please put your slot number in your short description. Along with your slot number, please include that it is an entry either in the title or the short description so I don't miss it in the sea of stories!
[3] Featured members and themes are pre-selected. You get what you get - there's no changing it. If you stray away from your theme or featured member, your story will be cut out of the contest.
[4] Your story must include paragraph breaks. Spelling mistakes are okay, but only in small doses. I will not tolerate anything "that looks" "like this." If your charater is speaking to someone else, please do not have it all jumbled into one paragraph. It's hard to read.
[5] Please subscribe to this so that you don't miss an update! The posting date will be announced as a chapter. I will not message each contestant to let them know when the date is, so you need to keep up with this contest on your own.
[6] Regardless of your theme or featured member, you are allowed to write smut. Graphic or tasteful. Don't hold back your mind, even if that means it's rated a little high.
If you have any questions or comments, do not be afraid to personal message me. Do not join this contest if you don't intend to take it seriously, and by that I mean, putting effort into your entry and keeping up with the updates that come with the contest. I pulled two contestants from the last contest for not keep up with the posting date and I won't hesitate to do it again. And remember all of the wonderful things that come with Halloween as you're writing your story. Haunted houses, trick or treating, scary movies, pumpkin carving, ect. Go wild!
Prizes:
First place will be given a shout-out in my notes for three weeks, along with a one-shot or short story of their choice.
Second place will be given a shout-out in my notes for two weeks, along with a one-shot or their choice.
Third place will be given a shout-out in my notes for one week and a one-shot of their choice.
