Halloween Writing Contest! {BACK-UP ENTRY OPEN!}
Introduction To the Challenge!
To join this contest, simply post below and request a slot. If you are not an active user, please do not claim a slot as you may miss the deadline and take that slot from someone who really wants it. Once you have been accepted into the contest (I'll reply to your comment with the word 'accepted') you'll have to suffer the wait period until all ten slots are filled. The entry will remain open for one week. If all the slots are not filled within that week, we will continue with the contest with the slots that are filled.
When that week is up, or all the slots have been filled, I will send you a member of the band and a theme. Please note that Jalex will only be featured in this contest twice. You do not get to pick who you write about or what your theme would be, which is where the challenge comes into play. Even if you aren't skilled at writing with the theme or member you are given, you will have a chance to write something that you normally wouldn't. That alone is a perk to this contest!
The themes are as followed:
Scary - Just write a scary one-shot or short story.
Fear - No matter which point of view you are writing in, the member you were given needs to be fearful!
Fluff - I think we all understand this one.
Humor - Make it fun/funny.
Keep in mind that no matter what theme you get, it needs to be about Halloween! Even if you get fear or scary, it does not have to be serious. I want you to have fun and play around with your theme! You are more than welcome to write in an OC. Use any POV that you would like. Just don't lose sight of your theme or featured band member! Feel free to add in AU, fantasy or anything else that comes to mind.
Another major difference in this contest and my last one is that, I will not be taking in a co-judge. I will read and judge all stories by myself. It's not that I don't want someone to share the job with, it's just that I have a very strict view on how I want this contest to go.
