I came to the next morning to Pete hovering over me. I sat up to find only Rian, Zack, and Jack in the basement, their eyes trained on me. What happened last night?

"Where's Alex," I asked.

"He's outside," Jack replied, "He's beating himself up for hurting you last night."

My attention turned to my bandaged arm. I guess Peter or Alex patched me up after they became human again. I got up and ran outside to find Alex. I needed to talk to him and tell him it wasn't his fault that I got hurt.

I got outside and I saw him sitting in the grass of his yard, looking out into the trees on the back of his house. I ran over to him and I wrapped my arms around his shoulders from behind. I held onto him and he returned my embrace by holding onto me as he sighed heavily.

"I am so fucking sorry, Av," Alex started crying as I held him.

"Hey it's not your fault. It happens. The wolfsbane messed with you and your instincts went out of control," I replied soothingly to him.

"I could have killed you, Aveline," Alex turned to look at me, "It would kill me if I lost you, Aveline."

"Alex, what do you mean by that," I asked him.

"I-I," Alex paused, "Nevermind. Let's get you home."

I laid on my bed, trying to understand what Alex meant by what he said earlier. Did he like me as more than friends? That couldn't be true. He's like a boomerang with Lisa, when they're off, he works to get back with her, like she's all he's good enough for.

I've had a crush on Alex since we were in middle school. It was awkward then, trying to hide my feelings for my best friend. I managed to do it and I still hide my feelings for him now. I didn't want to be the one to make our friendship become awkward and change drastically.

I laid in my bed, thinking everything over. I was so not prepared to handle anything anymore. I feel like my world is changing and I'm being forced to see that once high school was over, I would lose everything I had here in the states because of my family.

But I pulled out of my thoughts by a pebble hitting my window. I got up and went to my window to find Alex standing down below in his usual get up of skinny jeans, converse, a plain t-shirt, and a hoodie. I opened my window and threw down the ladder for him. Once he was inside, I looked over at him.

"I need to explain what I meant earlier," Alex started as he sat down on my bed next to me.

"You confused me earlier," I told him.

"I know," he replied, "But I've tried to find the right words to say to you, Aveline."

"Then how are you going to explain anything," I asked him.

"Through acting on what I meant," he replied.

Before I could even respond, Alex slammed his lips against mine. I froze for a moment before I started returning his kiss. I molded my lips to his soft ones. I let my fingers get lose in his hair, pulling on it a little, making him moan into the kiss. We had to break apart when the need for oxygen became too much.

"Alex, do you have any idea on how long I've waited to do that," I asked him, panting slightly.

"Middle school," he replied, "That's how long I've wanted to."

"Same," I told him before pulling him back in to kiss him again, "But what does this make us?"

"Hopefully my date for homecoming and my girlfriend," he replied with a smirk.

"You got a deal, Gaskarth," I told him.

"That's what I like to hear, Dupont," he replied before kissing me again as I pushed him onto his back.
