I wanna feel weightless
Chapter 21
*Elizabeth's POV*
I got to the barricade and waited for the show to start. First up was a band called you me at six, I hadn't heard of them before I bought the tickets but I knew about three of the songs they played, they did good, they finished, they left. Next was mayday parade. I loved them since I was younger; I sung along to most of the songs and cried a little. They finished and left and next were my boys. I felt like I needed to get out of there but I decided against it, I had to do this. It's not like they'd remember me anyway, it's been years and I left them, why would they remember me? Rian walked on stage, he looked good, definitely has better hair. Next was Jack, he came out hopping around and punching at the air. I felt my stomach twist because I knew who was coming next. Zack walked out and I couldn't breathe, no wait, I can I was just holding my breath. I breathed out and screamed with the crowd. Alex walked out last and started asking how the crowd was doing. We all screamed in response. The boys looked so happy. I sung along to every song. The boys closed up and I saw Zack scan the crowd one last time. Every time he glanced over at me I sensed that he knew it was me, there was a certain flash or recognition in his eyes. Next was Pierce The Veil.
*Zack's POV*
"Zack, you have to stop mopping around."
I heard the words come from Alex but they seemed a million miles away.
"I can't help it, I'm in the same state as her and I don't even know where she is."
"Zack, we miss her too buddy but you have to pull it together for the fans."
Jack was right. I just miss her so much. There is a super small chance she would even come to the show but I still kept hoping. Matt signaled it was about time to go on and we got ready to walk on stage. I pulled it together and preformed, I was scanning the crowd the whole time, hoping, praying, to find her. The only person that came close was this beautiful girl, in front of me at the barricade who had blue hair and a bunch of piercings. I thought it was her but I couldn't be sure. I asked Jack if he thought it was her and he told me I was just imagining it was her so I would feel better. We finished up the set and I walked out feeling defeated. I can't believe I didn't find her.
*Elizabeth's POV*
The show was great, until they got to Hold On Till May. That song meant so much to me and it happened to be the song playing when I almost died. The show had ended and they walked off stage. I saw Mike looking at the crowd a little worried but it all seemed to melt away when he got to me, he saw me, smiled and waved. I got a few glares from the girls around me but I shrugged them off. Everyone started clearing out of the place and I stood, waiting. A guy’s voice startled me and I jumped.
"Hey, sorry, didn't mean to scare you." I started fangirling hard; it was Derek from mayday parade.
"I, I, sorry, I, just, wow. Um, no it's fine, I'm just that way I guess, my bad."
He chuckled and asked me what I was still doing here. We talked for about 10 minutes before Mike finally came out. He had changed clothes and put on a hat.
"Hey, Liz. Wait, it is okay if I call you that right?"
"Yeah, it's fine."
"Cool, well anyway, we are having a party on our bus in the back, would you like to come?"
I agreed and soon I was throwing back shots of JD. I could feel it start to take effect. I was outside the bus and wondering around. I found myself at a bus and knocked on the door. The person I saw next was not who I expected but I hugged him anyway.
"Uh, who order a fan." Rian shouted at no one in particular.
"I missed you Rian, it's been three years but I missed you, I know you probably don't remember-"
He interrupted me to yell for Zack
"Zack, it's for you, actually guys I think it's for all of us."
"Who is I-, Lizzy? Oh my god, I knew it was you."
"Zack maybe you sho-" jack started in
"I don't care, I don't care what you have to say right now, just let me enjoy the moment."
"No seriously dude," Alex cut in, pushing us apart, "we all deserve a turn."
I hugged all the guys and finally Zack hugged me again. It was one of the best feelings and I missed it so much.
