Chapter 10
*Later that night*
*Elizabeth’s POV*
I could hear voices, and they sounded really familiar.
“I just hope she wakes up soon, I cant believe I did this to her.”
That sounded like Zack.
“It’s not all your fault Zack; I left her alone last night even though I knew she wasn’t okay.”
That’s Jack for sure.
I didn’t want them feeling like this and taking the blame on themselves, its my fault, I failed again.
“I-it’s not you guys fault.” I practically whispered,
Throwing up doesn’t do well for my voice.
“Oh my god she’s awake!” Jack said while shaking Rian and Alex awake.
As Rian ran out of the room to get a nurse, Zack started to speak to me.
“Elizabeth, I’m so sorry, please forgive me.”
He was so sad, I could tell he didn’t mean to cause any damage with last night and yet the next words out of my mouth were not that of forgiveness.
“I,” I hesitated, “I want to Zack but I don’t know if I can.”
“I understand” Zack mumbled as he backed away.
Jack wandered over.
“You really should forgive him, he is really sorry.” He whispered as he hugged me.
“I will, I just… I’m a little sick right now and maybe if he thinks I’m mad at him, he’ll stay away and he won’t be mad at me. I don’t fell like a lecture right now.”
“I don’t think any of us could be mad at you Lizzy. We are all just so glad that you’re alive. We thought you were dead.”
“Yeah, I almost wish I was but after hearing you and Zack talking I don’t think that I could be responsible for y’all feeling that kind of pain.”
“We love you Lizzy.”
And he’s hugging me again, damn it, he was not going to stop.
“Jack, you can let go now.”
“I just don’t want you to try and leave us again.”
He tried to joke but I could tell by his voice that he was serious.
“I won’t.”
I hope I sounded convincing, I wasn’t really sure myself. Would I be able to resist if things got bad again?
