Alex POV
I woke up with a small headache. I shuffled a little bit and found Jack next to me in our king-sized bed. Happily, I wanted to snuggle closer to him, but my wounds protested. I took a sharp intake of breath at the pain.

Luckily, I found my medication on the bedside table and popped a pill. Then I returned to Jack and nuzzled my nose into his neck. He sighed in his sleep and hugged me. I could feel myself slipping back into sleep and let it be.

After what must’ve been 10 minutes of sleep, someone knocked at the door. I was surprised; Jack hadn’t told me that anyone was coming. I shook him awake and told him that there was someone at the door. He quickly jumped out of bed, got in his skinnies and opened the door.
“Hey guys! Thanks for coming over this quickly!” – “Hey Jack. Here’s the guitars! How is our little princess?” I could hear Rian, but there was someone else as well. “GUYS I CAN HEAR YOU”, I shouted. There was some laughter and I heard steps approaching. Jack came back with Rian, and of course, how had I not thought of this, Zack. They looked a bit worried, but when they saw me smiling at their sight they visibly relaxed.

“Aw man, you look kind of dead”, Zack was never someone who sugar-coated things which sometimes was a bit difficult. “Yeah I feel like shit, at least I’m pumped with meds”, I replied, seeing Jack flinch a bit out of the corners of my eyes. “So you already had your meds, I suppose?” he asked. I nodded.

“So I brought something else. Whoop whoop!” Rian slipped his hands into his pocket and got out a small object. “Remember when you told me you wished you had guitar picks used and signed by Lee Malia?” – “Yes…?” – “Well… I met Lee after yesterday’s show and told him about your wish. And guess what he did!” – “No he didn’t. Oh my god.” Rian proceeded to give me the small thing. I looked it and gasped.

“RIAN YOU SICK MOTHERFUCKER THIS IS SO GREAT I AM GOING TO CRY” I carefully turned it around, trying not to cry with joy. “Glad you like it, see it as an early birthday present”, Rian said, smiling. I gestured for him to hug me and thanked him, sniffling.

“And what’s the plan?” Zack asked after I had calmed down a bit. Jack answered for me. “Well, he can’t leave the bed except for peeing for the next two days and he’s got to rest for a week. I think we need to cancel the shows planned…” Zack bit his lip, he was visibly disappointed. “But you know, we could do signing sessions instead!” I tried to cheer him up. “Yeah I guess that sounds okay… I’ll tell Matt”, Zack said, a hint of a smile on his face.

Rian POV

I was scared when we left to see Alex. I mean, the last time I saw him, Jack had carried him bridal style, pushing away anyone who wanted to interfere with him. Also, I had seen his hands being red, and I strongly believed it had been blood.

When we arrived at the hotel, I was really nervous about the whole thing. I must confess; I kind of have a crush on Alex. I haven’t told anyone so far, but it’s been several years now. Seeing him with Jack just breaks my heart. And I know that I am in a relationship and I should only love Cass, but Alex has always been my favourite.

I don’t know what to do about it, but when I met Lee I saw my chance and I took it. I know how much Alex admires him and I was so happy to make him smile. After I gave it to him, I found out he had to rest for a week and I was really, really jealous of Jack having to care for him. All I want to do is caress his little cute face and I’d honestly do anything for him.

But well, you can’t have everything. I will just wait until my time comes, and then, I will be ready.
