I'll See You In My Dreams

Jack was curled up half way asleep next to Alex in his hospital bed, IV tubes tangling around his arm.

Sometimes, When Jack would be cuddled up next to Alex asleep, he'd wake up wailing in pain or terror and about falling off the bed when he sees Alex is touching him. Other times, he'd just sob and curl deeper into his teachers side.

Alex's ears perked up like a dog when he heard commotion coming down the hall and a gurney being pushed across their door. Alex didn't register who it was until he saw Rian being pushed in a wheel chair into the room right in front if them, him muttering profanities and cries, "I'm not going to jail, right?" He sobbed.

Alex tried not to ease drop but it was kinda impossible considering both their doors were open and Rian was wailing pretty loud sometimes.

"I mean, that fucker hurt my best friend!" He cried as the nurse began to clean his wounds in his hands.

"I'm sure you're fine, Mr. Dawson. If I were the police, id let you go. You were protecting your friend. I'm proud of you." The petite nurse smiled gently as she walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a few alcohol pads and a needle.

"What are you giving me?" Rian asked in between sniffles.

"Some medicine to help you calm down. Your adrenaline is still high and you need to relax. If you want, I can wheel a gurney into your friends room and you can lay in there with him." The nurse comforted as she inserted the medicine after cleaning the area of his arm.

Alex looked down at Jack who had a giant smile on his lips. He deserves to know how much people actually care for him.

"That'd be great, thanks." Rian smiled as she walked out to retrieve a gurney and pushed it into Jacks room.

"Hi, Mr. Barakat, how're you feeling?" The nurse asked as she walked over to check his fluid levels.

Jacks head poked out from Alex's side and shrugged, "Sore. I'm just tired mainly but I can't sleep."

The nurse smiled, "That's normal, Jack. Your friend who is here would like to stay in here with you. I'll get him in here and go get you some sleeping medication"

"Thanks" Jack mumbled.

But when the nurse gave Jack the sleeping medicine, it took him five minuets before he passed out. Rian got to come in and lay in a bed next to him and carried on a conversation but decided against it after a few minuets to let Jack get some rest.

Alex sighed and got up from the death grip Jack had on him and looked at his phone. He had a few missed calls from the school and figured he should call back to see what was up.

With one final kiss to Jack's cool forehead, he was headed out the door.

Sorry it's so short. I needed to get something up. I figured I should explain myself also.

I have a job now and it's pretty hard. I also play softball ontop of my school work. So it's gonna get hard for me to update. So I need a favor from all of you!
