Ashley POV:
"Ashley Sparks. Would you join me on stage please?" Alex looked at me and grinned. Oh god. Emily turned to me, she was almost freaking out. "OMG, Alex Gaskarth is asking you on stage!" she screamed in my ear. "Wait a minute. How does he know your name?" she looked confused and excited. Before I even had the chance to answer her, Alex knelt before me on stage and held out his hand. No, no, no, no, no. Why? What the hell was I supposed to do on that damn stage with him? I didn't know this band, I didn't know any lyrics. What if I had to sing with him? I was about to make a complete fool of myself. People were cheering and the girls who surrounded me pushed me forward. Suddenly I was held by security people who helped me on stage. And the next moment I stood there, awkwardly. Alex smiled and put his arm around me. Wow, this was the greatest view ever. I stood there with thousands of people watching me and although it was a little scary, it was awesome.
"So, give it up for the lovely Ashley!" Alex shouted in his mic. "Hey Alex, do you know the name of every girl in here or what?" Jack said to him. Alex grabbed me tighter and laughed. "No, I don't. But Ashley and I, we have some history, dude." Jack looked over at me and I felt.. awkward. Alex said it like we had a romantic past or something. "Oh, your summer fling?" "No, Jack. Actually, Ashley and me went to Elementary School together. She was my bestfriend way before you!" he grinned at Jack. "Well damn. Nothing could beat Jalex though." They both laughed and Alex turned to me. "Well, it was nice to see you again, Ashley. Give me your phone so we can capture this beautiful moment." he winked. I gave him my iPhone and he took a picture of us. "Thank you for joining me." he said, while giving back my phone. He smiled a little and then I got dragged off stage again by some big security dudes.
"YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU KNOW ALEX GASKARTH!" Emily started freaking out. "Easy, I'll explain everything later." I said laughing at the expression on her face. "So, unfortunately it's already time for our last song. Thank you all for coming. You're the best fans in the world. We'll see you again soon! This song is called Dear Maria, I'm sure you all know it so I wanna hear you!" Alex said and everybody cheered loudly. "I GOT YOUR PICTURE, I'M COMING WITH YOU, DEAR MARIA COUNT ME IN..." Emily was singing along (more like screaming along) and I was just listening because I didn't know the lyrics. Alex looked over at me a few more times and I couldn't help but smile whenever we had eye contact. It was still a bit unreal, seeing him again after all those years as the lead singer of a famous band. And I had to admit, I liked them. They were actually really good. He thanked us one more time, waved and walked off the stage.
