Oh Love
Twenty-nine.
Jack POV:
“Happy birthday.” I whispered in her ear. She turned around with a beautiful smile on her face. “Jack, this is amazing. I..” I put my finger on her lips and leaned in to kiss her. “Did you really believe I had nothing planned?” she blushed a bit. “You cute silly girl.” I put my arm around her shoulder and kissed her hair. “I hope you’re hungry.” “Very, actually.” I smiled. “Good.” The table was full of plates with local food on it. I knew Emily liked trying new things when being on vacation. “Wow, that looks delicious, Jack.” “Only the best for my girl.”
When we finished dinner –which actually was delicious, although I’m not such a big fan of this kind of food- we sat down in the sand. We watched the moon and the stars and enjoyed the silence. The only sound was the sound of the waves. “Thank you for the best birthday ever, Jack.” She said softly after a moment. “No problem.” I stroke her hair and gave small kisses in her neck. She turned her head a little so she could look at me. God, she was beautiful. Everyone knows I never really had a serious relationship. I just wasn’t that kind of guy. That was Alex, Alex was the one who had relationships lasting longer than one night. Not me.. But when I met Emily, all of that changed. I didn’t feel the need anymore to hook up with whoever I wanted to. The only thing I wanted was to make her mine. And now that she is, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. “Okay, time for the real present.” I smiled and kissed her nose. Her eyes widened. “There’s even more?” “Wait here.”
I was nervous for her to open my present, I hoped she liked it. She unwrapped it and opened the box. “Jack..” she whispered when she saw the Louis Vuitton necklace I bought her. “It’s beautiful.” I saw tears filling her eyes when she looked up. “Thank you so much.” She said and kissed me passionately. “Don’t cry.” I said and wiped away her tears. “I love you.” I whispered to her. She smiled. “I love you too, Jack.”
Emily POV:
This moment was perfect and I felt like the happiest person alive. First this super romantic dinner and then that necklace.. I have the best boyfriend in the whole world. I had lived this moment so many times already in my dreams as a real fangirl. But then I would wake up and poof, there was boring reality. But when I would wake up tomorrow, it would be next to him, and our dream would continue. I don’t know what I did to deserve all of this. At that moment a shooting star crossed the night sky and I wished this moment could last forever.
