Twenty-six.
Ashley POV:
When I woke up, it was 9 am. I looked at Alex, who was still sleeping and a smile lit up my face. Last night was amazing, just like in the movies. I stepped out of the bed and looked for some underwear and a shirt of Alex that I could wear. I made a messy bun and walked quietly downstairs, not wanting to wake Alex. I walked into the small kitchen and opened the fridge to see what was inside. Eggs and bacon, perfect!
Just when breakfast was ready, Alex walked into the kitchen. "Good morning, babe." he smiled and kissed my hair. "Good morning, I made you breakfast." "Thank you." he said and we sat down to eat. "So, what are we going to do today?" I asked him. "Good question, Jack had planned something he said." Alex answered while taking a sip of his coffee. "Uh-oh." he laughed at my expression. "It won't be that bad." He winked.
When we finished breakfast we got ready for another day at the beach. I took a quick shower and picked out my favorite bikini. "Ready?" "Yes." I smiled and Alex pulled me into his chest. "You were amazing last night." he whispered in my ear. I blushed and he kissed me softly. He put his arm around my waist and like that we walked out of the door.
"So, what was your plan?" I asked Jack when he ran to us. "SNORKLING!" he said, excited. "Oh my gosh, that is so cool! I've always wanted to do that!" I screamed like a little kid. "C'mon!" I ran towards the sea where I saw Emily with these weird flippers and a snorkel thing. I laughed at her because she looked like an idiot. "Oh well, let's see what you look like with this thing in your mouth!" she mumbled. A guy handed me my snorkling stuff, too. And Jack and Alex got theirs as well. Once we were all ready we had to go on the boat that was waiting for us. The boat trip didn't take long. 15 minutes I think. The minute the boat stopped, Alex and Jack jumped into the water. Emily and I followed immediately. The water was cristal clear and god, this was beautiful. There were all these fish in the most amazing colors surrounding us. Suddenly I heard Emily scream. "Not funny, Jack!" she pouted and I saw Alex laughing. "It wasn't me. It must have been a real shark!" Jack joked, but then he kissed Emily on her lips. I smiled, I liked seeing Emily happy like this. "So, do you like your first snorkling adventure?" Alex said. "It's amazing." I answered and gave him a kiss.
When we were back at the beach Emily and I were planning on laying in the sun for the rest of the afternoon. Jack and Alex wanted to do something more adventurous so they decided to go jetskiing. "So, tell me about your first night with Alex." Emily began when the boys were out of sight. I blushed a little and Emily's eyes widened. "Oh my god! Do you mean you..?!" "Shh!" "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I'm so happy for you Ash! You really found the right guy. "I smiled at her. "I know. I'm a lucky girl. But tell me more about you and Jack." I said, raising one eyebrow. "He is really sweet." she giggled. "Aaaand?" "God, stop looking at me like that! Yes, we had sex last night, and it wasn't the first time." she blushed and I laughed. "I knew it! Why didn't you tell me?" She shrugged. "I'm telling you now." We were both silent for a while. "I'm excited to see what he has planned for my birthday." Oh crap. Emily's birthday.. That was tomorrow and I'd totally forgotten about it. I wondered if Jack had remembered.. Probably not, so I had to tell him. "Need someone to do your back? You don't want to get a sunburn." Suddenly, Alex and Jack before us. "Hey, move will ya? You're standing in my sunlight." Emily whined. Alex showed her his middle finger and picked up the tube of sunscreen. He untangled my bikini and started to smear the sunscreen all over my back.
This time we decided to stay at the house for dinner. We were still a bit jetlagged and wanted to go to bed early -for real this time- so Emily and I prepared something with the things we found in the fridge. After dinner, I asked Jack if he could help me with something inside.
"What's wrong?" he asked. "Nothing. But I need to talk to you." He looked confused. "Do you remember what tomorrow is?" Jack thought for a while and shook his head. "It's Emily's birthday." "Shit, I completely forgot about that!" "Yeah, that's what I thought." I grinned. "Ashley, you need to help me. What should I do? I didn't plan anything!" I sighed. "You can buy her something? Or take her out tomorrow night?" Jack thought about that for a while. "It needs to be something special. And I may have an idea, but I have to make some phone calls for it. Can you do me a favor and take Emily for a walk or something?" I nodded and smiled. "Okay. Make it a birthday she'll never forget." "I will. Thanks." he hugged me and we walked outside.
