Ashley POV:
“Jack lied to you..” Alex sighed. I was confused, what was happening? “Listen Ashley, I’m really sorry about what happened. I should’ve told you about Lisa and.. I just want you to know that you’re not just another flirt. I want to show you that my feelings for you are real and that you’re special to me. So will you please, please come with me?” I didn’t know what I had to do. I was still pretty pissed at him. But he seemed to be speaking the truth and I still liked him ofcourse. Maybe I had to give him one last chance? “Whatever.” I said and walked out of the apartment, to his car. We hadn’t said a word to each other during the drive. When we arrived at his house, I stepped out of the car. He opened the front door and lead me to the kitchen. I was surprised when I entered the kitchen. There was a small table with candles and everything, it looked very romantic. “Have a seat, please.” Alex said. “Tonight we’ll eat Gaskarth pasta.” He winked. I couldn’t help but smile a little. I knew he’d put a lot of effort in tonight being perfect and that was way too cute. “Do you want a glass of wine?” he asked. “I’d love that, yes.” I answered. He opened a bottle of wine and poured a bit in my glass and in his own.
“It was delicious, Alex, really.” I said after I finished my pasta. “Thank you. I’m not very good at cooking, but I tried.” He smiled a bit. “So, do you want to go home or..” I’d never seen Alex so nervous before. He’d been like that for the entire evening. I still couldn’t believe he’d done all this for me and I was thinking that maybe I overreacted this afternoon. I mean, he took me to his rooftop. Not even Lisa had ever been there. “I think I’m going to stay here for a little while if you don’t mind.” I answered. He looked surprised and happy with my answer. “Unless you want me to go..” I teased. “No! Ofcourse not!” A huge smile appeared on his face and finally he seemed a bit more relaxed. “What do you want to do? Watch a movie?” I shrugged. “Sure.” “Okay, uhm. You can choose one, I’ll be right there.” I walked over to the living room and looked through his dvd collection. “Oh, Warm Bodies. That one is on my list for a long time already.” I said when I heard Alex entering the room. “Okay, then we’ll watch that one.” He smiled. “But first..” he came over to me and I saw he was hiding something behind his back. “I got you someting.” He said softly and then he handed me a small blue box. I held my breath. Oh my god, I’d seen those things on Tumblr. Tiffany & Co. I didn’t know what to say, I was completely overwhelmed. “Open it.” Alex said, smiling. I opened the small box with shaking hands. “Oh my god, Alex.” I felt tears coming up. There was a pair of beautiful earrings in the box. “Are you going to try them on?” He said, while he wiped a tear from my cheek with his thumb. I tried them on and Alex took my hands in his. “You are so beautiful.” He whispered. “Alex, you shouldn’t have done this. It must’ve been so expensive.” I was still a bit blown away with his gift. “Only the very best is good enough for you. You deserve it, after my stupid behavior.” He sat down on the couch and grabbed me by my waist. I sat on his lap and he played with my hair. “Ashley?” I turned my head to look at him. “I love you.” He whispered. I took his face in my hands and leaned in closer. He stroked a strand of my long hair behind my ear and then our lips touched. Our tongues found each other immediately and my hands were on his chest. When I ended the kiss, I smiled at him. “I love you too, Alex.”
