Eleven.
Ashley POV:
I woke up in the clothes I had worn the night before and my make-up was probably smudged all over my face. Emily was still sleeping so I decided to take a shower and get breakfast for us. During the shower I was thinking about the party. Alex kissing that girl, and how much I cared about it. I was so confused about my feelings towards Alex. I took a towel to dry myself off and put on a cute dress. I made a fishtail braid in my hair and put on some mascara. I looked for a pair of matching heels and grabbed my purse.
I decided to go get some coffee and donuts at Dunkin Donuts. Alex and I used to do that, too. Every morning in summer vacation we would have breakfast together at Dunkin Donuts. The memory made me smile. I really missed Baltimore and I couldn't help but think about how my life would be right now if I'd never moved away. About how things between Alex and me would be. God, I really had to stop thinking about Alex as more than a friend. That would never happen. "Ashley?!" I heard a voice saying behind me. I turned around and saw a guy on a skateboard coming towards me. As he came closer, I recognized him. "Oh my gosh, Noah?!" He got off his skateboard and hugged me tight. "Can't believe you're back!" he said. "How are you? And how was New York?" I smiled at him. "I'm not really back, it's just for the summer. I'm great and so is New York. But I miss Baltimore, though." Wow he had grown so much. "How old are you now?" I asked. "I finally turned 21 this year." he grinned. Noah was my neighbor when I still lived here, we used to play together sometimes. Noah, Alex and me actually built a treehouse once in his garden. "Have you heard from Alex?" he asked excited. "Yeah, it's actually the reason why I'm here for the summer. But that's a long story. I'll tell you another time." I smiled. "I still can't believe it. He is a singer in a band, so cool!" "Yeah. But hey, I gotta go now. See you around, okay?" "Ofcourse!" he hugged me once more and then stepped on his skateboard again. "Bye!" "Bye!" I waved and smiled.
"Breakfast time!" I entered the apartment and to my surprise it wasn't Emily sitting at the kitchen table, it was Jack. "Oh, hey Jack. Where's Emily?" "She's taking a shower. Did you just say breakfast?" "I'm sorry Jacky, there not enough for three." I teased. He pouted and Emily entered the kitchen. "Thank god, I'm so hungry." she said and grabbed a donut. "What are you actually doing here?" I asked Jack while eating my donut. "I came to ask Emily if she wanted to hang out today. Show her around here in Baltimore." he smiled at Emily. "Oh, that's really sweet, Jack." Emily blushed a little. I rolled my eyes and at that moment my phone buzzed.
