This Love Was Accidental
Chapter 40
P.O.V Alex
*a few weeks later*
Today was the day I was finally graduating. I had been waiting for this day for months now, not just because it meant that Jack and I could be as open about our relationship as we wanted but because I was finally leaving school. I had never enjoyed school and now I could leave and focus more on my singing. I had even more small gigs lined up now as I didn't need to worry about school. Getting back to doing gigs was going to be nerve wracking, I hadn't played one since that night with Vic. I was scared but excited at the same time. Jack was coming to watch so I knew that I was going to be safe. also had my grad ball tonight which would be fun but I would be a third wheel because Rian and Zack both had dates and I didn't because I couldn't exactly take a teacher to the grad ball could I? On the bright side Jack was chaperoning so at least I would see him.
I had had my outfits picked for both my actual graduation and the ball sorted. Skinny jeans and a button up shirt for my actually graduation. What I wore didn't matter cause it was getting covered by a robe anyway. I had made an effort with my outfit for the ball though, I was wearing black skinny fit trousers with a white shirt, a black tie and a black blazer over the top. All of my outfit clung tightly to my body and I thought I looked pretty good, I just hoped Jack would to.
Zack honked his car horn impatiently from outside my house, I was putting the finishing touched to my hair making sure it was 100% perfect. Finishing my hair I ran down the stairs and out to Zacks car. I was greeted by a groan of finally by Zack and a smile from Rian and off we went.
The gym in school had really been scrubbed up for the occasion, it actually looked good for once. Not old and grubby. Whoever had decorated it did a great job. I was handed a robe and a stupid hat that I had to wear and told to take a seat in the seat with my name on it and wait to be called on stage to get whatever they were giving us to say we were graduating. I really couldn't have cared less, I was only hear because I knew Jack would be watching and would be so happy to see this.
The ceremony had just started, the principle opened with some big speeches I never payed much attention to and he began to call people on stage. I cheered loudly when Rian went up on stage and watched as he blushed, he was always so easily embarrassed. Soon it was my turn to go up so I straightened my robe and placed my hat on my head before sorting my hair and heading for the stage. On my way up the stairs to the stage I managed to trip on something and feel forward catching myself with my hands, I could feel the blush on my face. I'm sure I was bright red. Trust me to be the one to fall, I could see Jack trying not to lose it with laughter and I shot him a glare before straightening myself out again and walking fully on stage and collecting my piece of paper, shaking the principles hand and walking off stage again. I shot a wink at Jack and laughed as it was his turn to blush now. Taking my seat again, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

I scowled at my phone, really not amused at all.

I didn't bother replying figuring that a few hours of worrying if I had fallen out with him wouldn't hurt. I'd see him at the ball anyway.
* time lapse four hours*
The gym looked even better now than it did at the ceremony. The decoration team had clearly put a lot of effort in and it really worked, it looked amazing. Everyone who graduated was here, the girls in big sparkly dresses with their hair all done and the boys all looking smart in suits. The person who stood out the most to me was Jack. He had a tight grey suit on with a black shirt and tie, the way his suit clung tight to his body was just so breathtaking. He was absolutely flawless, his hair styled perfectly and there was not a single flaw on his face.
'Alex stop drooling over Jack', Rian teasedplayfully smacking me across the back of my head.
'Yeah Alex, we can practically see you mentally undressing him', Zack added with a laugh. I blushed bright red and left them to go off with their dates and dance whilst I went to the toilet to check my hair was still perfect.
Walking back to the gym I could hear slow music playing meaning all the couples and people and their dates would be dancing. Eugh, I really hated the fact that I couldn't dance with Jack and show him off to the world.
Suddenly I felt a hand snake around my arm and pull me off in the direction of a classroom, pulling me in and shitting the door over. The room was dimly lit by a whole load of candles and there was soft music playing. I recognised the class room
to be Jacks. Jack had arranged this for me.
'Sorry for teasing you about falling', came Jacks voice. I looked up to see him holding a bunch of roses in his hands and an apologetic smile on his face. I took the roses from his hand and admired them a smile breaking out across my face.
'I forgive you dick face', I said with a huge smile putting the roses down and snaking my arms around Jack pulling him in for a kiss. Jack had other ideas and put his hands on my waist and started swaying us back and forth.
'What are you doing?', I asked with a laugh.
'Trying to dance with you', he replied laughing at my awkward little steps.
'I can't dance though', I whispered embarrassed.
'Yeah, I can tell that', he teased. 'We will need to get you dance lessons before our wedding'. He burst into laughter finding himself hilarious, I gently slapped his chest but otherwise ignored his comment.
We danced, we'll tried to dance for a little while more. My head was resting on Jacks chest and I was savouring the moment. It was peaceful and perfect, the dim candle light and soft music made it even more perfect. Our peace was soon interrupted by Rian and Zack bursting into the room taking pictures on their iPhones, laughing hysterically as they did so completely ruining the moment.
Sometimes I really hate my friends.
