This Love Was Accidental
Chapter 22
P.O.V Jack
Alex and I had been together 3 months now, and things were perfect. Vic had never given us any bother and Alex and I were successfully keeping things secret. Alex's birthday was only a week away and soon we wouldn't need to hide anymore as he would be 18. God, my Alex was going to be 18. That made me feel old although I was only 23. I couldn't wait to be able to be out in public in Baltimore with Alex, I could hold his hand, cuddle him and kiss him and not have to worry anyone would see us. I could show off my perfect boyfriend to the world. The only dilema I had was that I had no clue what to get him for his birthday, I planned to go shopping tonight but I had no clue. Alex wasn't much help either he kept saying he didn't want anything at all. I sighed to myself in frustration, I needed something amazing for him and I had absolutely no clue what to get. I placed my head on the desk and closed my eyes waiting for the bell to ring and Alex's class to come storming in. Classes with Alex were always the hardest, I wanted so badly to be able to hold him and kiss him but I don't think that would go down well with his fellow students so I had to settle for just texting him and thinking about him.
'Uhmm.. Mr Barakat? You okay?', I heard a small female voice ask along with a class of laughter. Shit, the bell had ring and I hadn't realised. Great.
'Yeah, I'm good. Just absolutely miles away', I said with a laugh as I raised my head to face my class. Alex was here looking really concerned, I shot him a smile to show that I was fine but he still reached into his pocket pulled out his phone and typed away. As I waited for his text, I told my class to just do whatever they wanted for the period as I had nothing planned. A mix of cheers and chatter erupted across the class, I ignored them and pulled out my phone to see the text from Alex.

Oh yeah, cause how much I love you is all I think about. It was actually about what I'm gonna get you for your birthday x

I rolled my eyes at his text, he's always so helpful. Not. I put my head on the desk again to try and think of something for him, but nothing was coming to mind, until I listened to Alex's conversation with a girl named Lisa. And from that conversation I knew what I was going to get him.
Work couldn't have finished soon enough, the minute the final bell rang I jumped up from my desk and ran to my car knocking several students out my way on the way there. I jumped in my car, loosened my tie and sped off to the mall. I got to the mall with plenty of time to shop, I didn't want to spend to long here though. Shopping was never something I found fun. I knew my main gift for Alex but I wanted to get a few wee extra things for him. I picked up a new beanie for him, cause well he looked cute in a beanie. I went to hot topic and found a couple of really cool band shirts I knew he would love, along with a few for myself cause I deserved a wee treat. Now it was time for Alex's main present and I couldn't wait to get it.
