Alex POV:

I opened my eyes and saw Olivia wrapped up in a towel and standing in our closet. I smiled at her naked body as the towel dropped to the floor. I’m going to be honest; the present I got last night was amazing. Ah Christmas, tis the season to be jolly or horny in my case. She pulled on some clothes and glanced over at me.

“You’re awake,” she smiled. “Get dressed so we can open presents and then go to Rian’s house.”

I went into the bathroom to shower. I stepped under the warm water and started washing my body. Last night I fell asleep as a sweaty mess. I washed my hair next and made it a point to be quick about everything. I made sure all of the suds were off of my body before stepping into the cold bathroom. I reached for the towel Liv left for me. I dried off and wrapped the towel around my waist. I guess I should wear something Christmas-y. Would a sweater be alright? I hope so. I threw on a Glamour Kills sweater and some skinny jeans. I went back into the bathroom to dry off my hair the best I could, then I brushed my teeth. I went downstairs to smell freshly made coffee.

I went straight into the kitchen and pulled Liv in for a deep kiss.

“Merry Christmas,” I murmured against her lips.

“And same to you Mr. Gaskarth,” she giggled. “Ready to open presents?”

“I suppose we could do that.” I grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the Christmas tree. It was nearing ten o’ clock and we would be going over to Rian’s at eleven for some lunch and gift trading. Then I was going to visit my parents this afternoon and then we’d spend the night over there.

“Who’s going first?” She plopped down in front of the tree.

“Why don’t you open this one?” I pushed a box towards her. She unwrapped it and looked down at the dress that I bought her while we were on our previous tour. It was black and had a tiger on the front.

“Babe, it’s so cool!” She smiled and pulled me into a great big bear hug. “Your turn.”

I looked down at the thin box she set on my lap. I unwrapped the box and saw a certificate, a few papers, and a DVD. On the certificate it read Tom.

“What’s this?” I asked.

“I got you a star.” She smiled.

“No fucking way!” I laughed. “That’s amazing!”

“I’m glad you like it.” She accepted my giant hug.

“And another for you,” I handed her yet another box. She opened it up to look at the black and white coach purse I got her.

“Alex, it’s beautiful,” she smiled, “I’m using this today.”

“But wait, there’s more.” I reached over for the purse and pulled the matching wallet out.

“Aw, they match.” She smiled and hugged me.

“They might not be from the same brand, but Zack said that they looked close enough.” I shrugged.

“It doesn’t matter Lex,” she kissed my cheek. “Alright let me go get your other present.”

She disappeared from the room and came back moments later with a huge frame. She flipped it around so I could see a photo of the milky way.

“Wow Liv, it’s so cool.” I jumped up to get a closer look at the photo.

“I figured you could hang it up in your office.” She smiled sweetly. “You know, over your guitars.”

“I will,” I hugged her and kissed her forehead, “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome Lex.” She walked me back to the Christmas tree. I placed yet another box in front of her and waited for her to open it up. She did that and revealed the leather jacket that I ordered online.

“Alex,” she took it out of the box and held it up. “I’m going to look like such a badass in this!”

“I hope so, because we can be badasses together.” I smiled.

“Which brings me to your next present,” she slid a box in front of me.

“Oh sweet,” I looked at the Pleasanton backpack from Jansport. “How did you know I wanted it.”

“You said you needed a new one and I figured it would be great for traveling.” She shrugged and watched me explore all of the openings in the bag.

“And now for you,” I set another box in front of her to continue the pattern. She laughed and opened up the box I gave her. She smiled when she saw the other purse I bought for her. It was a leopard print purse.

“Lex,” she looked inside and found the matching wallet. “You’re spoiling me.”

“Is that a bad thing?” I sat her on my lap.

“I’m not really complaining.” She got up and grabbed a present from under the tree and set it on my empty lap.

“I wonder what it could be.” I laughed and opened it up. It was a set of journals and pens. Two leather journals, a fountain pen, and a guitar pen.

“I thought you could always use more journals for writing lyrics and things.”

“I can’t wait to use them.” I grabbed the last present I got for her. She held the small bag in her hand and pulled out the small box that it was in. She opened the box and pulled out the necklace I got for her last week.

“Oh my gosh Lex,” she gaped, “It’s so beautiful.”

“I figured it would be like having a piece of me while I’m on tour. You know, since I love galaxy and all.” I pulled her into my arms and kissed her softly.

“I love it,” she whispered.

“And I love you.” I whispered back.

“But I have one more thing for you.” She wriggled out of my grasp and got one more box from under the tree. I opened the box and pulled out a leather guitar strap.

“It’s for your acoustic upstairs,” she gestured, “I noticed that it didn’t have one.”

“I’m going to put it on right now.” I kissed her on the nose. I bounced up the stairs and went straight into my office and looked at my guitars. I picked up the simple brown acoustic guitar that was sitting on its stand. I attached the strap and slung it on my shoulders. I set it back down on its stand and went back downstairs.

“Are you ready to go?” Liv asked.

“Oh sure, let me put on some shoes.” I went around the corner to get a pair of combat boots. I threw them on and grabbed my car keys. “Let’s go.”
