Olivia POV:

I winced as the warm water hit a spot on my neck. I ignored it and continued to wash myself off. My hair didn’t need to be washed, only my body and face. I avoided my eye area but stood under the water so it could wash away my makeup. I couldn’t remove it anyways; it would be too painful to touch my eye. I grabbed a towel and wrapped myself up. I looked in the mirror and looked at the black eye in all its glory. I looked down at my neck to see a set of claw marks. I hadn’t felt it when it happened, probably because the pain towards my eye was so great. I ran my hand over my neck and felt hot tears roll down my cheeks. I bit my lip and stared at myself in the mirror. I looked so terrible like this, how could Alex love me? I held onto the counter for support as my body trembled. I was sobbing at this point and I really couldn’t control myself. I collapsed to the floor and let the tears come out. I curled into a ball and cried as hard as I could, not caring that the towel had fallen off. I heard footsteps running into the bathroom and a pair of arms pulled me into their own. I felt a warm blanket wrap around my cold body as the arms held me close to them. I was still on the floor, I just wasn’t lying down. I laid my head into their chest and kept crying.

“Shh baby it’s okay,” Alex cooed while stroking my hair, trying to calm me down. “Lexy’s here, you’re going to be okay.” I placed a hand on his chest to support myself and tried to stop crying, but I just couldn’t.

“Do you need me to get anything?” Jack sounded extremely calm yet upset and hurt at the same time.

“Can you grab an icepack or something?” Alex said quietly, not wanting to speak too loud. Like he was afraid I’d break down even more if he did. I heard Jack leave the room along with another set of footsteps, probably Zack.

“It’s okay baby,” Alex cooed over and over again. He started to rock me back and forth slowly and softly. It was really comforting and the tears started to subside. I looked up at Alex who had a concerned look on his face. I sniffled and tried to wipe away my tears. Alex grabbed a tissue and wiped away all the tears and handed me another so I could blow my nose.

“What happened baby?” He held my face in his big hands.

“I just,” I sniffled again and made sure Jack and Zack weren’t back yet. “I feel so ugly like this.”

He looked upset and wiped away the new tears that started to come out of my eyes. “Well I think that you’re the most beautiful girl in the whole world.” He kissed my nose. “And nothing could ever change that.”

Jack POV:
(Before the fall)

Zack and I were lugging the tree towards the front door. I almost slipped on the ice that was spread across the sidewalk. Once I regained my composure, I went up to the front door and opened it up quickly. Alex closed the door once we were inside and helped us carry it over towards the fire place that already had a fire going. We set the stump into the holder and made sure it was set up so it wouldn’t fall over. I wiped the beads of sweat off my forehead before I removed my outerwear. I hung my jacket up on one of the hooks and shoved my hat and gloves into the pocket. Zack did the same as I took off my shoes and grabbed one of the many pairs of slippers Olivia insisted that they kept in the house.

“Are you guys going to stay for dinner?” Alex asked once we were all finished.

“What are we having?” I questioned.

“Liv wanted me to order Chinese.” He filled a pitcher with water and filled the tree holder with it.

“I guess that’d be acceptable.” I sat down on the couch.

“How ‘bout you Zack?” Alex got another pitcher and went back over to tend to the tree.

“Sure.” He rubbed his belly and accompanied me on the couch.

“Alright, I just called so they’ll be here soon.” He set the pitcher in the sink and came over to sit by us. “Oh and I invited Cass and Rian over for dinner too.”

“Did you tell Rian about what happened to Liv?” I asked.

“Shit,” Alex rubbed his eyes and got off the couch. “He’s gonna fucking kill me.”

“Don’t worry about it man.” I tried to calm him down, the last thing he needed right now was to have a panic attack.

“Yeah, just tell him what happened.” Zack agreed with me. I heard a thud from upstairs. I looked over at the guys to see if they heard it too. Alex looked at the ceiling quickly before sprinting up the stairs towards his room. Shit did this kid fucking run fast. I ran after him and Zack did too. Once I reached the top of the stairs I saw Olivia lying naked on the bathroom floor. I grabbed a throw blanket that was lying on the bed so she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable with us around. I wrapped it around her shoulders and Alex fixed it so it covered her entire body. She must’ve been freezing in the bathroom. She was trembling and sobbing. Alex held her close to him and he was stroking her hair and cooing sweet nothings into her ear to calm her down.

“Do you need me to get anything?” I tried to be considerate towards the situation.

“Can you grab an icepack or something?” He asked and tried not to speak too loud.

I went down the stairs quietly with Zack behind me. I went over to the freezer and rubbed my eyes. “I hate seeing her like this man.” I almost whispered.

“It’s pretty heart breaking.” Zack leaned against the counter.

“I mean she’s always so happy and cheery, I just want her to be happy again.” I slumped back against the fridge and looked at him. He was staring at the floor, thinking about something. “I just feel so bad.”

“I know what you mean.” Zack wiped his cheek, was he crying?

“Lisa just needs to be put in her place.” I formed a fist and placed it in my other hand. “She doesn’t need to be around any of us anymore.”

“Maybe they should get a restraining order.” Zack shrugged.

“Yeah,” I nodded at the thought of his idea. “The crazy bitch needs to stay away.” I reached into the freezer and grabbed the ice pack that was sitting on the top shelf. I went up the stairs again with Zack following and I handed the bag to Alex. Olivia was up now but she was still sitting in Alex’s arms.

“How are you feeling?” I bent down towards her. I saw her black eye now, damn was it bad. I tried not to act like I was staring at her eye.

“Better now.” Alex helped her up and she went into my arms for a hug. I tried to hug her tenderly so I wouldn’t hurt her more than she already was, even if it was only on her face. “Thanks Jacky.”

“No problem.” I said back to her. She got up and went into Zack’s arms. I knew that he had a thing for Olivia when they first met, but I don’t think he does anymore. His hug was brotherly and protective, like something Rian would do. They whispered a few things to each other before she went into the closet and closed the door behind her. Zack and I went back downstairs so Alex could stay with Olivia. Maybe staying for dinner wasn’t the best idea.d
