The Storm
Laura's POV
I don't know what I did in a past life to deserve this, but I'm so blessed. To have Zack, this band, for Flyzik to have adopted me, everything. It's just incredible. I don't know if this first part of my life was just really shitty, but this seems too amazing. Zack and I are riding in his car, one of my favorite places on earth, on our way to the club with everyone else ahead of us on the bus.
He's so cute. I mean every second of every day he's telling me how beautiful I am, but refuses it when I try to do the same. His bright green eyes, the way he tells me he loves me, the feeling of his hulk hand holding my baby's hand, and lets not forget those muscles. Zack's all I could ever hope for, and nothing is going to take me away from him. Neither one of us will let that happen.
I love him. And he loves me back.
Zack's POV
She's everything I've ever wanted. This little 16 year old girl. Laura is my life now, and holding her hand driving to the club, I'm the happiest I've ever been. All I want to do is love and protect her. She snuggles her head into my shoulder, smiling up at me.
"You're amazing, you know? Oh and I love you. A lot." She whispers in my ear.
I still can't get used to it. The feeling of her. How she makes my heart race, making me feel like I'm the only thing in the universe that matters. The electricity from even the smallest touch, as she reminds me trailing her kid-sized hands along my cheek.
"Laura, I don't think either one of us can comprehend how much I care about you. I can't imagine life without you, even for a second."
Her breath catches as her wide eyes find mine, light and hope radiating from them. I could lose myself in those eyes forever. As we pull into the parking lot, she reaches up to stop me from unbuckling my seatbelt.
"Zack, I don't want a party. I just want to be with you."
I smile at the thought. "I know, I know. But it's your sweet 16, and all those people in there care about you too. We can't be selfish. Today, anyway. We'll get to spend as much time together as we want to soon." I kiss her on the cheek and hop out of the car, jogging over to her side in record time to open the door for her.
She steps out linking her arm in mine as I shut the door behind her. "You're such a gentleman, Mr. Merrick."
We pratcically float to the club, holding on to each other like it's the only thing keeping our feet on the ground. We get to the door and she drops my arm and sighing loudly.
"I forgot my jacket in the car, Zacky. I'll be right back. I'll miss you!" And with a peck on my cheek she was gone.
Laura's POV
Jogging back to Zack's car in the dark parking lot, something just doesn't feel right. Sometimes my footsteps seem doubled, the sound echoing. I figure it's just my ears, but hurry and grab my jacket, slinging it onto my shoulders quickly and slamming the car door shut again.
I'm practically running back toward the faint light of the club, when I hear it. The definite extra footsteps behind me, too close for comfort. And unfortunately, they're moving faster than mine. I try to go as fast as my short legs will take me, but it's not long before a pair of steely arms are wrapped around me and a damp cloth is pressed to my face. The last thing I see are stormclouds in the sky, rain starting to fall. The sky is the color of Zack's eyes, I think, as I fall into the arms of this stranger, blacking out.
<3 Oh my gosh. This made my day. THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!
