I Didn't Know it Could Be Like This
Zack's POV
I think I'm in love. With a 15 year old. Shit.
But really, every since we met Laura, she's all I can think about. And giving her her first kiss, that was wonderful. But in more than one way. I wanted her to feel special, and to know that she's loved. However, it also sparked something inside of me that I don't think I've ever felt before.
She was amazing today. A five hour practice with us jerks, and she survived and did really well! She's probably exhausted though, I think I'm gonna go look for her and just see how she's feeling. I'm also still feeling super protective of her, especially knowing what she can do to herself.
I walk into the kitchen to see her with her head down on the table. I decide to go sit down and talk with her.
"Hey Laura. You know you were incredible today!"
She jumps up, startled.
"Oh hey Zack. Thanks, you guys are pretty crazy. But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun!"
"Good to hear, good to hear. How are you doing, by the way?"
She takes a deep breath, "Better, mostly thanks to you. You guys make me feel safe, and like you actually want me around. That's something I can't remember feeling, and it's amazing."
She's so damn beautiful. "Uhm well if you're up for it, I'd love to play some video games with you! And I know it's normally Alex's thing, but I wrote some lyrics for a possible new song that I want you to hear."
"Oh Zack! That sounds wonderful!!! Which do you wanna do first?"
"I'd like you to hear this song."
Laura's POV
He already wants to know what I think of a new song? These guys are the best. Especially Zack. He's like the older brother that I think Josh would've been if my aunt hadn't taken him away. And video games? Fuck yes!!!
Zack's back with his guitar in tow. When he sits down next to me again, he almost seems nervous. Huh. He smiles shyly at me before strumming a few chords;

Oh my god. I burst into tears almost immediately. This is beyond anything I could have dreamed about. I run over to Zack and after he sets his guitar down, I gave him the biggest hug ever.
"You're the best Zack. I love you, bro."
Zack's POV
I'm pretty sure I've got the biggest grin on my face ever. Hell, her hugs are even better than Rian's!
Wait..........bro?
Shit, she thinks of me like a brother. This isn't gonna end well for me is it? God she's only fifteen anyway. It's like she is my little sister.
I pull away from her huge warm hug. "Let's go play now."
"Okay," she says grinning, "But I'll warn you now. I've never played before, so I'm probably no good.
