Somewhere I Belong
Jack's POV
I ran after Laura, scooping her up into my arms. She seemed to actually fall asleep, as I hummed and told her it would be okay. I kicked open the door to the lounge, and rested her gently on the couch.
"Jack? What the fuck happened to you guys?" Alex practically screamed at me.
I sighed as this woke Laura up, and made sure she was alright before I turned to face Alex.
"I went to find her, as you know. I heard her in the bathroom, and when I went in she was cutting herself open with a razor."
A collective gasp went through the room.
"I knew it! She told me she self-harmed. I should've known better." Zack said angrily, "Laura, will you please talk to us? You said there was more to your story and I'm thinking it's time we heard it."
As she sat up, I moved over next to her. She instinctively shriveled away from me, but I wasn't having that. Zack, who was on her other side, took my hint and we moved in closer to her, allowing her to huddle into us.
Laura's POV
Well, I guess I was going to have to tell them this sometime. At least I feel safe here, snuggled inbetween Jack and Zack. They're too kind.
"I want to start off thanking you guys. This isn't the first time you've saved my life, and that's where this story picks up. I was about 11, and I had no idea what to do with my life. I was so scared, and I felt so worthless. You guys found me, ready to jump off a bridge. And you saved me. Without even knowing me."
"That was you all those years ago?" Alex practically whispered, his eyes shining with tears.
"Yes. And after you guys had safely dropped me off at my apartment, I vowed that I would always love you, and that's when I got into your music. But you all are the reason that I'm still here. And, knowing that, knowing that you think I have some sort of value, well I can't thank you enough."
I suddenly felt the biggest bear hug I had ever gotten lifting me off of the couch while the person cried into my shoulder. Feeling the scratchiness of his head, I figured it had to be Rian. As he put me down, I realized I was right. I didn't have much time to think before I was lost in the middle of a huge group hug. I couldn't believe it. All these grown men, falling to pieces over me. I couldn't help but think that I had finally found where I belong.
