The Hollywood Liars

Hollywood vs Me

Silver’s POV

Its a regular morning for me when my alarm goes off with the song “Heart Attack” by Demi Lovato playing. I’d change it if I could but it’s life, you can’t change what you get so you deal. I do my dailies, get up, get dressed and get on facebook. No breakfast, I must keep that perfect image for the press. I talk to some of my “friends”, we all know that they just want a moment of fame from me. Hollywood I love you but I hate you so much.

A few hours of having time alone I decide it would be a good time to catch up at the mall, secretly of course from the press.

I walk down the long spiral staircase and off to the huge garage where my specially made hot pink Vespa is. I really can’t stand the color pink, once again Hollywood says I do so I’m forced to live a lie. Before I put on my helmet I use the intercom on the wall to let someone know I’m leaving.

When I’m ready to go I pop on the matching helmet and leave, fresh hair bringing me hope that one day fame will leave and I can just be a normal fifteen year old girl, one tries to go to concerts but can’t because the tickets are sold out or just because she can’t. A girl that can’t afford the Juicy Couture clothing but dreams of owning just a charm bracelet. I just want to be a normal girl, the middle class high schooler with her group of friends. At least thats who I play in the movies.

I finally get to the mall and park my Vespa towards the back of the parking lot where no one parks. First stop, Hot Topic to pick up the hoodie I’ve been wanting for a while. I don’t buy something once I see it unlike my parents, I actually take the time to see if I want it but I have to hide it in the far back of my closet where the secret door is, kind of like when I played Emily in a movie I played in as boy crazy teen with the guy she likes in a shrine in the back of her closet, but in this case I’m not her and this is real life.

I reach Hot Topic without seeing any fans, thankfully no one in this scene likes me. All they hear is the stuck up brat with everything she wants. Walking to the back of the store I find the hoodie I’ve been wanting.

“You have to love Invader Zim to buy that.” Someone says behind me. I turn around to see a girl about the same height as me wearing a Cherri Bomb shirt.

“It’s an awesome show, don’t judge. Oh and nice shirt.” I say, her staring at me for a moment.

“Wait you're Silver Walker, what the hell are you doing in here?” She says folding her arms.

“Everyone in Hollywood are liars. You honestly think I like girly shit?” I counter.

“You have a point, I’m Roxanna Davis.” The brunette says as I walk around to find the All Time Low shirts.

“Hold on, you like ATL?” Roxanna asks me.

“Keeps me sane, plus with all the crap playing I need my sanity, I’m fifteen I’m not ready to lose it yet.” I say, finding a shirt and then picking up Don’t Panic.

“If everyone in Hollywood are liars, how do I know you're not lying?” She says as I finish up my shopping.

“Wanna know a secret?”

“What?”

“Never had a boyfriend and I have a back area in my closet where I keep all the things I like.” I say, pulling out my phone to a picture of my closet.

“Nice. Gamer code.” She says.

“What?”
“You heard me, gamer code.”

“You're so easy Rox. Up up down down left right left right B A.” I say, giving her a nickname and walking to the parking lot deciding I want pizza. “Wanna hang? I’m going to Pizzeria Mozza now.”

“Isn’t that the really exclusive pizza place?”

“Yeah why? You’ve never been?” I ask.

“Most people our age just go to Pizza Hut or Dominoes.”

“What’s Pizza Hut?” I ask dumbly.

“Get on your Vispa, I’ll give you directions.”

“You don’t have a helmet.”

“Like I need one Miss Walker.” Roxanna says, sass filled within her voice.

“Bad ass much? Not happening, we’re going back into that mall and I’m buying you a helmet. I can’t let the headlines says “Silver Walker kills Davis kid in Accident.” Not happening.”

“Fine, but not in pink, black. Also you're getting yours revamped.” She says as we walk back to the mall.

“But the paparazzi! Remember I’m Silver Walker, teen music sensation and biggest teen actor!” I whisper, not wanting anyone to hear me.

“Not today. Just for today you are Silver Walker, average fifteen year old with an awesome music taste.” She says, stopping in the road, putting her hands on my shoulders and looking me in the eye.

“Let me tell my parents, still it’s not like they would care anyway.” I say, texting my mom and dad but not expecting anything. I can do whatever I want, I’m Silver Walker.

“What do you mean by that?”

“It’s nothing. Hey can we do that thing that I play in the movies? I can’t remember what it’s called though.”

“Well what happens?” She asks as we get into the mall.

“The person stays over at another persons house, they watch movies and have fun and stuff.”

“A sleepover?”

“Yeah, one of those. I want to do that!” I say, jumping happily.

“Wait you're telling me you have never had one.” Roxanna says, standing in shock in the middle of the mall near Starbucks.

“No, remember I’m always too busy making a movie or going on tour or something of the above. This is my first day off in months, but next week I have a big press thing for that new movie I performed in, The Open Air. Then I’m off again doing interviews for a few weeks and then the release of my new single comes out the next week.” I say.

“Okay, then tonight you're staying over and we are going to pretend that you aren’t Silver Walker. Tonight you can be anyone you want.” The brunette says as we reach the Vespa store.

“I can even be Jack Barakat?”

“Just as long as I can be Alex!”

“Jalex!” We yell together, store clerk getting mad but not recognising it’s me.
She picks out her helmet and I pay for it, she picked out a nice one.

“Ready to try your first Pizza Hut pizza?” She asks me as we get to my Vispa, putting her helmet.

“Just give me the address, I’ll plug it into my GPS.”

“No GPS missy. Kids our age don’t use them, just soccer moms.” Roxanna says, taking away the GPS. “I’ll tell them to you.”

We hop on the italian scooter and she tells me how to get there. We order a medium cheese pizza and a Coke for her, Dr. Pepper for me which I’ve never had before.

I take a slice when it gets to our table and I eat it.

“It’s so greasy!” I say, getting a napkin and wiping my mouth.

“No it’s Patrick. Well how do you like it normal girl? Wait I have a question for you. If
you say you like these awesome bands but never had cheap pizza. ”

“It’s fucking awesome pizza but remember, having a lot of money makes it impossible to do normal things so going to the exclusive restaurants is just my normal thing.”

“You have a point on that girlfriend.”
“I’m not your girlfriend.”

“Humanity has ruined my friend!” She yells, people around us not caring.

“I’m normal, but I’m different. I’m glad I met you, you're like my only sane friend. Shelby and Quinn are just bubble brained morons who worship the ground I walk on, same with Justin Bieber’s.”

“Same. Hey we better get going. My curfew is cutting close. Can I borrow your cell to let my parents know I’ll be home later? They would kill me if I was late again.”

I pass her my iPhone while she calls her parents, not hearing anything that I wouldn’t think is suspicious, then again what normal to me is different to her, I don’t have curfew, just “End set”, “Curtain Call” and “Closing Set.”

“Okay mom, don’t worry I’ll be home in twenty.” She says into the phone.

“Friends? Yeah my new one.”

“What’s her name?”

“Siara.”

I wonder why she said my name as Siara, I’m Silver not Siara.

“Okay, goodbye mom.” She says quickly, then hanging up my phone. “Tonight you aren’t Silver, you're Siara. My mom really hates your family, she won’t tell me why though, something about the past.”

“Um okay, but won’t she recognise my appearance? And what about the Vispa?” I ask so lost.

“Go to CVS, I know a chick there who can do revamp you and I can hide it in the woods.” She says, grabbing my arm tightly and hopping on the scooter.

“Stop it Rox, you're hurting me!” I say loudly, tears beginning to fall because of the pain in my arm.

“Drive.” She says sternly, scaring me.

“Okay, okay just give me the directions.”

She gives me the directions to CVS where Roxanna’s sisters’ friend, Kathy does my makeup and afterwards we head to a small house a wooded area.

“This is my place, not as fancy as yours though.” She says snootily.

“What’s your problem Rox? Ever since your mom called you’ve been acting like a bitch. You know what? Screw you! I’ve been nothing but kind doubt the fact that I don’t know what normal is to an average teenager. Thanks for nothing, I’m going home!” I scream at her, an older lady coming out looking shocked.

“What are you looking at lady? Never met a Walker before?” I yell at the woman who looks like she could be Roxanna’s mom.

“Walker lies. Roxanna go inside, you know we don’t roll with these people.” She says to her child.

“Wait...I know you, you're Julie. My dad’s friend from the dinner party last year. He told me to stay away from you.” I say, backing away from her,

“I hate your whole family Silver and I can’t forgive what Mark did to us. He’s a terrible man.” She counters.

“Why? Because we have more money than you to live in a small shack in the woods? I hate the liar as much as you do, because I know who I am and I may think I’m not a Walker but a person like you raising a hurtful girl is nothing but scum to me!” I say, releasing all anger I’ve had for years not caring about my ringing phone.

“Mark is liar Silver. You don’t know him like I do, he tears families apart.” The woman in a pale purple dress says.

“I’m going home, you don’t know me! Everyone in Hollywood is liar, including you Roxanna! And shoving my Vespa in woods? You were going to steal it and leave me here weren’t you?” I say, getting scared.

“Not everyone’s a liar Silver! Only the scammers and the fools! You’ve been living a lie for so long that you're caught up in to the point where don’t even know who you are!” Julie yells at me.

“Then who am I? Am I a Walker? Davis? Oh wait am I related to Jack Barakat?”

“Yes” She says in a whisper, leaving me in so much shock I get on my hot pink Vespa back home.

Notes

Hey everyone, this is the first real chapter. I wanted to get drama in as fast as I could, because trust me there is so much more than you think to it.

Looking back, I actually did intend to make Alex kind of like me. He believes that dreams tell him things, and so he saw something that might happen, that being where he could tell what may happen.
So in a way, yes.

@Sarah's Butterflies
Like, that one part. You made it seem like he saw into the future. Maybe wizard wasnt the best word. Psychic?

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean, can you explain if that isn't too much?
Also thanks for commenting on this, it was a nice surprise since this has been up for a little over a year now!

Wait one second. Is Alex some kind of wizard?
