ch. 3
Alex’s POV
I stared at that green eyed beautiful woman through the windows of my living room. Something about her screamed for me to touch her, hold her and kiss her. More than anything I just wanted to sit down with her and find out why she put on such a front. She didn’t think I could but I saw right through her. Her smile was fake and her actions were forced. But once I looked into her eyes I could see a million branches of pain intertwined with secrets so dark it took the entire luster from her eyes.
My phone rang which caused me to be brought back into reality. I groaned when I saw Lisa’s contact photo light up my screen. Hesitantly I answered. I hadn’t even muttered a “hello” before she started screaming at me.
“ALEX! Why the hell haven’t you texted me back?!” she screeched into my ear causing me to pull the phone away from my ear to notice that she had texted me five times within a minute of calling me.
“Because Lisa,” I sighed, “a normal person takes at least more than five seconds to reply to a text message.”
She kept on bickering to the phone which wasn’t by any means anywhere near my phone. I was so done with her bullshit. I picked up the phone to find her questioning me.
“ALEX WHY AREN’T YOU ANSWERING ME YOU STUPID SELFISH FUCK HEAD?!”
I sighed heavily, “Because I really don’t care what you have to say over the phone Lisa. Just come over, I need to talk to you baby.” I decided to make my voice a little husky at the end; I wanted to confuse her about what my real intentions were. No way in hell was I going to sleep with this vile woman ever again. No I was going to put her in her fucking place once and for fucking all.
“Ooh baby I’m coming over right now,” she purred. It caused my stomach to lurch as I hung on her. I ran upstairs to my room and gathered every single article of clothing or possession of hers and placed it in a black bag. I tossed the bag down over the stairs, ignoring the shattering sound that had come from it. If it was broken I wasn’t going to fix it. By the time I made it back downstairs I heard someone knocking on my mother’s front door. I rolled my eyes before plastering a fake smile on my face. I looked over to see Lisa and her stupid smirk on her face. She pounced on me and smashed her lips against mine. I didn’t respond which caused her to whine obnoxiously against my lips as she bounced up and down like a child.
“Alex what the fuck?” she spat. “You called me all the way over here and I get nothing?! What gives?”
I looked at her, like really looked at her. Her tan skin seemed highly unnatural; her teeth were too white, her bright green eyes glazed over with lust. Everything about her screamed fake it made me sick. Why had I fallen in love with her? That’s when I realized something. I was slowly but surely falling out of love with this girl. I never thought it would happen. When I first met her I was entranced with her. She seemed so genuine. Then I started remembering all the times I was unfaithful to her and all the time I caught her cheating. Hell I almost cheated on her right now with Chloe. My eyes widened. I almost kissed a girl I hardly knew. But something about her made me want to get to know her. I was going to Warped Tour soon but I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be enough time to know that stranger long enough to unravel her secret.
“Alex?” Lisa snapped her fingers in front of my face, bringing me back to reality. “Are you just gonna stand there and stare or are you gonna fuck me?” she whined. God even her voice annoyed the living hell out of me. I pried myself away from her and handed her the black bag.
“Out,” I said coldly. “Get out and never come back. I’m done dealing with all your bullshit Lisa and I’m pretty sure you’re done with mine. We’re no good for each other so let’s get this done and over with.”
Her eyes widened as her mouth flew agape. I gently pushed her towards the door. Before I could slam the door in her face she found out how to speak again.
“You listen to me Alexander. I don’t care who she is or where you met her but the minute I see you with her, you’re both dead,” she said in a deadly voice.
I scoffed, “Lisa I don’t need to be fucking someone else to know I don’t want to be with you anymore. Good luck with killing a girl who doesn’t exist.” And with that I closed the door. But something was bothering me as I made my way to the couch in the living room. I had told Lisa there was no one else but that was a lie. Well not a complete one since I had not a clue what the girl’s last name even was. I sighed as I dug the heels of my hands into my eyes as I lay down on the couch.
The last thing I remembered was the girl with black and white hair and dazzling green eyes before I fell into a dreamless sleep.
