Alex and I had been up since four am, courtesy of Bella who had provided the wakeup call. She was now back in her room fast asleep with a fully belly and a clean diaper. Alex and I weren’t so lucky. We hadn’t been able to go back to sleep and now we were watching cartoons in my room until it was a reasonable hour to get up for school. There wasn’t much on at four am and we had settled for the first thing that looked mildly interesting. It didn’t bother me too much, I wasn’t really watching TV. I was more interested in watching Alex who had his eyes glued to the TV. He was engrossed in the cartoons and I couldn’t help but smile as he laughed when something funny happened or rolled his eyes when something stupid happened.

“Are you going to watch the cartoons?” Alex asked, narrowing his eyes as he turned to look at me.

“Hmm?” I mumbled lazily, not really giving him a reply.

“Jack, stop being a creeper and watch what’s happening on TV, and not me,” Alex replied with an amused smirk on his face.

“Hush Lex, stop complaining. You love the fact that I’m a creeper,” I smirked in reply, wrapping my arms around his waist, pulling him into my lap. “Besides, you are way more interesting than cartoons and I think I’ve seen that episode before.”

Alex nodded in response.

“Fine, you are a pretty cute creeper,” he admitted as a yawn escaped his lips. He rested his head on my shoulder, nuzzling into my neck.

“Tired?” I asked, running my hand up and down his back. Alex shook his head muttering a quick no as he placed soft kisses on my neck. I frowned because I was the reason he was up at five am, when he should have been sleeping. “I’m sorry you were woken up so early this morning. I thought she’d settle quicker for me but obviously Bella didn’t want to comply. She’s been a little off lately. I don’t know why. She’s not sleeping as much.”

Alex lifted his head off my shoulder, silencing me by placing a single finger on my lips.

“I don’t mind, Baby,” he assured me. “I love Bella, and I love you. I know you and her come as a package. I don’t mind it when she wakes me up early. I’d rather by up helping you than snoring my head off while you are up managing her all on your own.”

As always, Alex was being so considerate. It was just another thing that made him so amazing.

“But you have school later on today,” I protested. “If you are tired, go to sleep and I’ll call you when you need to get up. You don’t have to stay awake just because I can’t sleep.

“You have school too,” Alex reminded me, shifting in my lap so he was facing me with his legs wrapped around my waist. “Plus, why sleep when I can spend time with you before we have to go to school? I think that sounds like a better plan.”

I didn’t have a chance to reply or voice my opinion on how I liked the way Alex thought because Alex’s lips were on mine as soon as he had finished talking. His tongue was licking at my lips, asking for entrance, as our lips moved together. My hands found themselves resting on the small of his bare back as we had an early morning make out session.

Alex knew he was in control as he sat on my lap. He knew that just one move with his hips would have me moaning his name and that’s just what he did. I moved so I was beside Alex and took him in my arms as he curled onto my chest, his head resting on my shoulder and his hand running up and down my chest. My arms were slung lazily around his waist as I enjoyed the hour or so of peace and alone time I had left with him before we’d have to get up.

“I hope Bella wakes us up early more often,” Alex stated, a smile gracing his lips. “I wouldn’t care at all if this is how we passed the time.”
