Find a Place for Me Again

One

I finally woke up after Alex left to make a run to the store. I went downstairs in the house I shared with him for the last nine months of our two year relationship. I noticed Alex wasn't home yet. I knew the store wasn't that far and he shouldn't be taking this long to get milk.

My phone started to ring out with Alex's ringtone. I quickly answered it and I could feel my heart sink at the voice that greeted me.

"Is this Miss Kenzie," the foreign man asked me.

"Yes this Kenzie. Who is this," I asked.

"I'm officer Harper of the Towson PD. What is your relation to Mr. Gaskarth," the officer asked.

"I'm his girlfriend. Is he alright," I asked.

"He's been admitted to the hospital," he replied, "He was in a accident."
I got to the hospital. I was worried and freaking out over how Alex was. I was not ready to lose him if he was in a horrible wreck. I ran to reception and asked for where to go to see him. She got a nurse to take me to the private waiting room for the ICU. I texted Jack while I waited for a doctor to come and tell me how he was doing. Just as Jack got into the waiting room, a doctor came to talk to me.

"Are you here for Mr. Gaskarth," the doctor asked me.

"I am. How is he," I asked.

"Alex is stable but in critical condition. He's suffered from two broken ribs on his left side along with cracking the others. His left wrist and one of the bones in his left shin are broken. He's most likely suffering from whiplash and a concussion from his air bag. He may have suffered acute memory loss but we won't know until he wakes up to see how much he remembers," he informed me.

"Can I see him," I asked.

"Yes, but only two people should go into the room at a time," he replied.

"Go see him, Kenzie. I'll let everyone know what's happened," Jack said before I left to go to Alex's room.

I walked into his room and I felt my heart shatter. Alex looked pale a sheet. He had wires attached to him, an IV in his arm, and oxygen was fed into his body from under his nose. He laid too still in the bed. His face was scratched up, from what I had guessed his car window when he got hit.

"Hey Alex, I missed you when I woke up again this morning," I greeted him as I took his right hand into my hands, "You need to get better and wake. I miss you and hate seeing you like this."

I spent the entire day and night with Alex. I didn't want to miss him waking up. I stayed with him for a week. That's when he woke up and everything changed.

So I just read what you have of this, and I'm sad to see it was never finished. :(
It's a bit rushed at some parts, but I really like the concept of it. It surprised me that you had him gain his memory back kind of quickly; I thought for sure the twist was going to be he was going to lose it again or something. I found it a bit odd how that was kind of the plot for the first half, and then this second part kind of diverted from it. But I really like what you have of it, it's really sweet. :)
If you ever choose to finish it, I will be here to read. Although I think a final chapter wrap-up would totally work for this, if you're struggling for inspiration. Just a final update to conclude it.
You're a great writer, and so, I just wanted to leave a comment letting you know that, and to show that people are still stumbling across this and reading it. :)
