We got through the last week of school, Jack being more protective than usual. I was at his house right now.
"Hey, wanna play truth or dare?" He asked.
"Sure, you go first" I replied.
"Truth or Dare?" I thought for a moment.
"Truth" I replied.
"Have you ever had a boyfriend or been kissed?" He asked.
"No and no" I replied. He looked at me in shock. I just smiled.
"Your turn, truth or dare?" I asked him.
"Truth" He replied.
"I'll return the question you asked me." I said.
"Yes and yes" He said. "Truth or dare?" He asked me.
"Um, dare"
"I dare you to kiss me" He said.
"What?" I laughed.
"Kiss me"
"What's the forfeit?" I asked.
"Let me kiss you" He said.
"Jack, that's not fair, I want my first kiss to be special" I said
"But you could do it with me and since I'm your best friend, it will be special" He said, leaning in. I got up and stood on the other side of the room. He came over and tried trapping me to the wall. Luckily I was short enough and I slipped out under his arm, grabbed my bag and ran out of the house. I ran all the way to a nearby park with a pond and a big tree in. I went over and sat under the big tree and just cried. What the fuck just happened? Jack tries kissing me evern when I said no. Some friend he is.

I was sat there for 20 minutes just crying until something massive fell out of the tree, on to my lap and winded me. I led there in shock trying to get my breath back before sitting up. I sat up and came face to face with the most gorgeous human being ever.
"I uh, um, I'm sorry, I was climbing up the tree and I fell, but on the plus side you broke my fall and possibly saved me from a few broken bones" He smiled. I laughed at how nervous he was.
"It's fine. I'm Lauren by the way" I said.
"I'm Alex. Hey, I noticed you were sat crying for quite some time, are you alright?" He asked. I looked away and took a deep breath.
"No" I said, a few tears falling.
"Hey, don't cry, do you wanna talk about it? They say talking to s stranger is easier" He said.
"My best friend just tried pressuring me to kiss him" I said.
"Surely it couldn't have been that bad" Alex replied.
"No, he knows everything I go through and he still did that" I said.
"Do you wanna talk about what you go through?" He asked. I sighed and wiped off the make up covering my cut lip and black eye. He looked confused for a moment but then his expression changed to sympathy.
"Your parents hit you?" he asked in a soothing voice. I nodded and broke out in sobs. Alex pulled me into his chest and I cried on him for ages before I stopped.
"Better now?" he asked. I nodded. I don't know why, but I liked this stranger, he seemed nice.
"How old are you Alex?" I asked.
"17, how old are you?" He returned my question.
"15" I replied.
"So, this friend of yours, what's his name?" He asked.
"Jack" I said.
"Jack Barakat?" He asked. I nodded.
"How do you know him?"
"He used to go to my private school but moved because he was getting bullied. I don't know much about him though" He replied. I just nodded.
"Anyway Lauren, I feel like I've made a new friend today" He said. I smiled.
"Me too" His arm was still firmly around me and my head was on his shoulder.
"Um, can I have your number?" He asked.
"Sure, hand me your phone and I'll type it in" I said. He handed me his phone and I saved my number and sent myself a text so I had his.
"I sent myself a text so I've got yours" I said. He smiled and we just sat there for a while staring out at the pond.
"I should get going now, don't wanna upset my Dad" I said.
"Let me walk you home" He said.
"Only to the end of my road, if Dad sees me with you he'll kill us both" I said.
"Understandable" He replied. We walked back to my road in silence.
"Well, this is where I have to say goodbye" I said. We hugged and I walked to my house and waved before going in. It was only 3 O'clock so I didn't have to start dinner for another hour yet, so I went up to my room and played guitar and thought about what had happened today.
