3 bad things are happening.
Jack gets back today. No, that's not a bad thing, but that means that we have to tell him about Alex and I
My parents are being extra strict, and I almost got a broken nose yesterday. Dad kicked me in the face too hard.
Alex has been ignoring my calls a lot recently.
I really don't get it. Whenever something good happens, a load of bad things seem to pile on top. My life really isn't fucking fair.

I picked my phone up from the table and checked the caller ID. It was Alex. I picked up.
"Hey baby" I said cheerfully. Alex still hadn't seen the state of my face yet. It would definitely make him mad at Dad.
"Hey, so you ready to come round and tell Jack?" He asked enthusiastically. It sounded a bit fake to me, but I didn't question it.
"Yeah, is he there?" I asked.
"Nah, he'll be here soon though so hurry up" He said.
"Okay, I'll be there in a minute" I replied and hung up, I put my shoes on and left. My parents didn't care too much about when I went out, as long as I was home in time to cook dinner.
The walk to Alex's was longer than usual. It's probably because of my nerves. When I finally arrived however, Alex seemed to take at least 10 minutes to open the door for me. I thought I saw someone in the back garden, but I'm sure it was my mind playing tricks on me, just like it always does.
When Alex finally opened the door he looked... sweaty? Hmm, I wonder why.
"Lauren, what happened to your face?" He asked. I just sighed.
"Do you really need to ask?" I replied. He gave me a sympathetic hug and let me inside. I sat on the sofa and a sudden thought popped into my head.
"Alex, why isn't your Mum ever here?" I asked.
"She's a nurse and she's always on call" He replied. I just nodded. We sat in each others arms in silence, occasionally kissing for an hour, when there was a knock at the door. I knew it was Jack. Alex got up and answered, less than a minute later, they both came back into the room, and much to my annoyance, Jack sat next to me, leaving Alex to sit in the armchair. I looked over at him and he gave me a look of encouragement. Well, let's get this over and done with.
"Jack" I said weekly. He put his arm around me. I shot Alex a look and he nodded in encouragement to keep going.
"Yeah?" Jack replied.
"Something happened while you were gone" I said. He rose an eyebrow.
"Something good or bad?" He asked.
"Good for me, but I don't know about you" I said. He looked confused.
"Explain."
"Well, uh, Alex and I are kind of a couple now and we went on a date and we slept together." He deserved to know everything. His anger was clear on his face. He stood up and glared at Alex.
"She's broken Alex, fucking broken. She's abused at home and she trusts you. I know you too well Alexander, and I know you don't fucking love her. You're just usng her because she's fucking easy and vulnerable, and that's how you like them. Remember Sasha? Your ex? The one you put in a fucking mental institution? She had Dysthymia. You told her you could fix her, help her, make her better, but what did you do? You fucked her a few times, then purposely made sure she caught you and Lisa in bed together, she went insane, and now look where she is. You ruined your life and I sure as hell wont let you ruin Lauren's." He then turned to me. "Lauren, I don't care who you choose to stay with at the moment, but I promise, when everything goes wrong, I'll be there, I'll always be there, I promise." With that, he walked out. Leaving Alex looking angrier than ever and me in complete shock.
"Alex, was, was that true?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. All anger left his face.
"Of course it isn't baby. I would never do that to someone, Jack's lying. He's jealous. And I certainly won't ruin your life. I love you." He said and kissed me. I half believed him, but I wanted to be sure.
"I have to go home now before Dad gets suspicious, Love you byee" I said and left. But instead, I ran after Jack.
"JACK!" I shouted. He stopped and waited for me.
"This Sasha girl. Is she in the mental institute just outside town?" I asked.
"Yeah" He replied.
"Take me there, please" I said. He just nodded and we walked there mostly in silence.
"He's a bad person, Lauren. He will hurt you, but I'll be there I promise" He said.
"Thank you Jack" I replied. He just smiled and we were silent again. We got there and Jack told them who we were and we went in. Soon enough Sasha showed up and looked at us strangely.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"I'm Jack, Alex's friend, and this is Lauren, his girlfriend. She's abused at home and she wants to know your story about Alex if you don't mind" He said. I smiled warmly at her.
"Don't trust him. He'll fuck with you mentally. I mean, look where he put me. He's a fucking monster, he hurt me and he'll hurt you too, please, I'm begging you, do not trust him" She said coldly.
"I'm sorry about what he did" I said weakly.
"Thanks but you're not the one who should be apologising. He should" She seemed like such a nice girl and I felt so sorry for her. Was Alex really a monster.
"Thanks Sasha, we'll definitely visit you again" I smiled. She smiled back and we left.
"So, what are you going to do now?" Jack asked.
"I'm going to wait 2 weeks. I'm going to tell you how he acts every time I'm with him, and at the end of the 2 weeks, if we both think that he is still a monster, then I'll leave him. It wont be easy, and I'll need your help, but I'll do it Jack, I promise" I said as we got to my street. I hugged him goodbye and went in to start dinner.
I knew what would happen, and putting it off wont help. But I'll have to do it. I need to do it. And I will do it. And Jack's going to help me.
