"It was really sweet of you to agree to this, Alex. I know my call was so sudden but I really want everything to be perfect. Cassadee seems like such a sweetheart and it makes me sad to think that her sister won't be here to take my place."


Alex flashed the beautiful girl a crooked and tried to soften his eyes as much as possible. Honestly, it was sad that Cass wouldn't have her little sister here to be the maid of honor, but it made Alex's like so much easier. Because her sister would be out of the country at the time of the wedding, Cass had asked Brooklyn to take her place because the two of them had hit it off so well and seemed to really click. Naturally, Brooklyn accepted the offer and couldn't be more thrilled about it. With Brooklyn now being a part of the wedding, the couple had come to the decision that they each only wanted one person standing beside them on their big day. The rest of the band, friends and crew would have minor roles in the wedding. Alex was lucky enough to be chosen as the best man, which meant he would get the chance to spend more time with Brooklyn and even escort at the wedding.


"I was trying to think of something nice to do for Ri, anyway, so you kind of came to my rescue."


He watched her closely as she brushed some hair away from her face and let a soft giggle fall from her lips. He paid extra close attention to the way her tongue slid over her lip before she began to speak again, her dark eyes locking on his chocolate pools.


"So what do you think we should do for them? I don't want to impose and plan something against Cassadee's wishes, but I know she's been super stressed out with the wedding planning lately. I don't even know where to begin."


Alex pondered Brooklyn's words. They could do the typical best man and maid of honor thing and guy expensive gifts for the couple, but Rian and Cassadee had everything they needed and more. Then, there was the idea that the only time Alex would really be able to spend time with Brooklyn without Zack around was when it came to helping out with the wedding. That's when he got the best idea he's ever had, the perfect way to make Ri and Cass happy while getting Brooklyn all to himself.


"We'll send them away for a weekend."


Brooklyn dropped the knock-off diamond necklace she was looking at and rose an eyebrow to Alex. He couldn't possibly be serious? There was no way Cass would agree to drop everything for a weekend getaway with Rian, they had the honey moon for that.


"Think about it," Alex began, moving so he was only an inch away from Brooklyn's body. "We can pay for them to take a break from all of this wedding crap and while they're gone we can agree to man everything they had planned for that weekend. I mean, we can't do the major stuff, but the little things, like booking the chuch Cass has been going on and on about. That way neither of them have to worry and they can remember why they're doing this in the first place."


"Of course," Brooklyn grinned, her eyes gleaming with joy. "Make them fall more in love. Alex, you're incredible!"


"Yeah, I know. Now let's go book something all sorts of romantic."


She giggled, linking her arm through his as they made their way out of the store. Alex had no idea where they should send Rian and Cassadee, he just knew they needed to leave as soon as possible. With Brooklyn away from Zack and the pressure being taken off their shoulders at least a little, he could really open her up, make her seem him in a whole new light. This was fucking perfect. She'd fall into his arms at the bat of an eyelash. He just had to figure out how to make sure she was with him constantly that weekend.


"Hey, do you think I could stay with you while they're away? It's just, my apartment is so far from yours and I'm sure we'll be going out a lot."


"I was just thinking we should do something like that," Alex smirked, everything falling into place.
