On Saturday I wake up to my phone ringing. I groan and see it's a text from Alex. Alex texted me? Okay.

Alex
Hey, um, Jack is coming over at like noon... Do you maybe want to come over?

Me
Sure. I'll be there in a bit.

I send it and stand up. I see it's already eleven. I throw on a pair of jeans and a black shirt.

I walk downstairs to see my mom. She smiles at me when she sees me. I grab a bagel and tell her I'm going to Alex's. I walk over since he's about a block away from my house.

When I get there Jack and Alex are being complete idiots, jumping around outside. I laugh and Alex looks at me, stopping what he's doing. I wave and Jack runs over to me.

"Hey, Rian!" Jack greets. We look at Alex. "Alex! Stop being anti-social!" He laughs and walks over to us.

"Hey, Rian." Alex greets.

"So what are we going to do?" I ask. They shrug.

"Probably cover some songs. Jack put an ad in the paper so we can look for a bassist." Alex says. I smile. They're serious about this. Cool!

I follow them downstairs as Alex grabs his guitar. I smile as he start strumming stupid and pointless things on his guitar. Every once in a while he glances up at me, probably to see if I like it. I smile at him when he looks up. Jack looks at me then Alex, then back at me

Alex is kind of cute. I honestly thought I was straight. Guess I'm not since I find Alex'e nervous behavior adorable. He finishes and sings something pointless. He's adorable honestly.

"Jack... Can we get something to eat?" He asks. I laugh seeing we're at Alex's and it's his house.

"It's your house get it yourself." Jack snaps making me laugh a little. They're like brothers.

"Fine." Alex pouts.

He's cute when he does that or just acts like that to get my attention. I know it's for my attention. I can tell. Whenever he does them he looks at me. He needs to learn to be subtle and not so obvious. I'll just pretend to be oblivious.

I don't think he likes me though. He probably wants to be around me more because I helped him with a bully. Alex heads upstairs and I realize I was staring at him. Jack looks at me confused.

"What?" I ask.

"Do you like Alex?"

"He's my friend why?"

"No, I mean love." Jack says. I look at him and shrug. "You're both staring at each other, I can tell at least you like him. Alex is hard to figure out because he does that whole cute, adorable thing to everyone." Damn.

"He does? I find that hard to-" I think for a second. "Never mind.. I can see it now." He laughs.

"So do you or not?" Jack asks. I shrug.

"I think so."
