I locked my phone. I was slightly suprised by Jack. He never took it upon himself to find me a woman.

In fact, I'd never trusted him to get me anybody. He was a total retard when it came to love. He was really for the sex.

Not that Jack wasn't a great guy...he just loved his ladies.

I forced myself to stand from the picnic bench. I was eating a later dinner; a salad and a bag of chips with a beer. It was the healthiest thing I had eatend since tour began.

It was raining slightly, fat little drops falling from the sky and hitting the ground around me. I didn't mind the rain all too much; it was a relief from all the hot, nasty weather we'd been having.

Aside from the occassional rainstorm (Which were extremely rare), it had been nothing but desert heat.

I supposed we were in the desert at that point, though.

A raindrop hit the tip of my nose and splashed all over. I wiped it off with my sweatshirt sleeve and sighed as I walked. I was tired, and I was grumpy. Grumpy enough.

The sky grew darker as the sun set, and as the clouds poured in. The inky blackness of night was soon approaching.

I turned left after the grassy field of buses and vans, onto the gravel path that cut straight down towards the press hall and an open picnic area, restricted for band and crew only.

I could smell the food from there. It was a delicious smell. Despite the fact that I was as full as ever, I began to crave some of that pork.

I started to gain speed as I got closer to the picnic hut. I was intent on getting some of that meat. I was ready for that hot, juicy--

That was when I noticed her. Standing all alone.
