Secrets and Lies
Chapter Nine
-Alex POV-
Despite being an emotional wreck last night, I actually had a pretty good time, I told Jack stuff I'd never even admitted to myself, let alone anyone else. I didn't even know if I could trust him, but regardless, it didn't feel like such a burden on my shoulders anymore.
I had only got a few hours sleep last night so it was fair to say that I looked like a mess this morning, and I didn't feel great either, but hey, at least it matched.
As Jack had picked me up from work yesterday my car was already at the salon, meaning I would have to walk to work today. I put my earbuds in and pressed play on my iPod, which made Pierce The Veil's Hold On Till May come on. I was slowly walking down the sidewalk when I found myself thinking of Jack, and how he'd be feeling this morning - but he probably wasn't even awake yet. I'd left my number at his, not that he'd call me, I'd probably pushed him away by crying.

My day at work was such a drag, I had to take more breaks than usual just because I felt like I was going to either throw up or pass out.
On my way back home I went and picked up Chinese for one and started channel surfing when I got home looking for a good movie to watch and dug into my food. As soon as I took my first forkful of rice my phone started ringing, but I didn't recognize the number, so I just let it go to voicemail, and about 20 seconds later I received a text.

I assumed 'J' was Jack, so I saved the contact and called him back immediately. After three rings, someone picked up.
''Heeeeello?'' I quizzed.
''Sup Lex, I found your note. I'm bored man, wanna do something?'' My suspicions were confirmed, it was Jack. It was still pretty weird talking to him, like, an actual celebrity was calling me, just like any other person would, it was surreal.
''Uh, sure, wanna come over mine? I have take out.'' I smiled down the phone.
''Where do you live? I'll drive down now,'' he replied.
''Uhh, about 10 minutes away from you...opposite the library, number 16.''
''I'm just leaving now, see you in 10!" And with that, he ended the call. Crap, I had ten minutes to clean up this hell hole. I hurried around the place picking things up from off of the floor, then the doorbell rang before I knew it.

-Jack POV-
I sat next to Alex on his couch watching the TV, we were talking about music as per usual and how Blink - 182 are probably the best band on the planet. He was acting weird around me today though, almost as if he was uncomfortable, it was kind of cute actually because every time he caught me looking at him, he would blush.
He looked up at me nervously, as if something had been bothering him, ''hey, um, Jack...can I ask you something?'' he stuttered.
''Shoot.'' I said back, putting my glass of Cola on the table in front of us.
''Does it hurt? I mean, yanno...'' he trailed off, rolling his eyes onto his lap.
Oh.
''Lex, have you never done anything with a guy before?''
''Nope, just girls. Many, many girls.''
''What about...have you ever done anything...to yourself?''
He looked up at me as if I'd just told him to eat a live kitten. ''Ewww, no! And I don't want to do anything with anybody, a-at least not until, you know...''
''...your dad knows?'' I said, finishing his sentence. He nodded, looking down into his lap twiddling his fingers. I edged myself closer to him so that our arms were touching.
''Lex, look at me,'' I said cupping his chin with me hand to make him meet my gaze. ''It's really nothing to worry about, you just have to do it all in your own time. It's like doing anything else for the first time - it can't be rushed.''
''What was your first time like?''
I laughed and dropped my hand from his jaw. ''I was 16 I think, and I was dating this incredible guy, Vic, yanno, Pierce The Veil's lead singer? Yeah, him. But anyway, we were young and in love so we decided to take things all the way, it was done all romantically and yeah, it was nice....I couldn't walk for a few days, but it was nice.''
Alex couldn't help but grin at the thought of me being in pain and having to waddle. He asked me why we weren't together anymore and I told him about how things got too complicated when we were both touring, and how he got really close to his band member, Jaime, who have been together now about 4 years. I didn't feel jealous about it, I was happy to be a free agent again and explore new things, and new...people.
''I don't think I'm gonna ever have the guts to tell my dad about me, so I'll just die alone. I mean, I don't wanna date anyone right now, I just wanna experience things and have a little bit of fun, yanno?'' he smiled.
''Lex, do you have your heart set on being in music?''
''Jack, you know that music is what I'm all about,'' he said sticking his tongue out at me.
''I wanna make you a deal.''
''What kind of deal?'' he asked, one eyebrow raised.
''I'll help you get a record deal, but until then, I want you to experience all the things you were talking about.....with me.''
