Jacks POV
“Mum, dad can you sit down in the living room please, me and Jack need to tell you something” They sat down on the sofa me and Alex sat down in the chair opposite. “Mum, dad. I don’t know how to tell you this. I am a bit shocked at the news myself. Mum you know I went to the doctors because I kept being sick we didn’t know why. Well the doctor did some tests and well they found out that I was pregnant, look we have some ultrasound photos” Alex handed them photos that the midwife printed off.
“How many weeks are you? Isobel calmly asked
“7 weeks the midwife thinks. Are you not shocked” Alex asked
“No” Isobel replied “ I am kind of surprised. How come you are pregnant?”
“We don’t know . The doctor is doing tests to find out why”
“Okay” Me and Alex walked out of his house then walked to mine as we needed to tell my mom”
“Hi mom” I yelled we found her in the kitchen, “Mom me and Alex have something to tell you. Can you sit down in the living room” she sat down
“What is it Jack?” she asked
“ First promise you won’t freak or laugh”
“Okay I wont”
“Well Alex is pregnant” we handed her the ultrasound photos.
“How many week are you?” she asked
“The midwife thinks about 7” Wow I am shocked that my mum didn’t freak or laugh. And if she was shocked she hid it well. We went back to Alex’s house that was when Alex’s mum came up to us.
“Alex, Jack can we talk?” Isobel asked
“Yea sure” we sat down. I was scared for what they were going to say.
“Me and your father were thinking and only if it is alright with you. That we redecorate Toms bed room into a nursery/bedroom for the new baby”
“Yea I like the sound of that. Tom would have loved having a little nice or nephew. He wouldn’t mind his room being changed for them”
“And we got this” she said handing us a baby names book. Alex took it
“Thanks” he told his parents. “Come on we should start looking at baby names although if it is a boy I would like to name it Thomas after Tom if that is alright with you.”
“ yea that would be awesome what about a middle name? What about peter after your dad?”
“Yea we could give it two middle names. What was your dads name?”
“Bassam”
“So that is sorted then it going to be Thomas Bassam Peter Gaskarth-Barakat”
“Yea , I like it. What names do you like for a girl?”
“ I don’t know if it is a girl it would have to be something really special” He replied
“What about Jasey?” I asked
“Yea Jasey is good but it has to have something else with it. Just Jasey isn’t special enough.”
“What about Jasey Rae?” I questioned
“Yea that is good enough for her” Alex smiled “She is going to be a princess”
“Yes she is bit I don’t want to keep calling it. It until we find out the sex . I think we should call it Lollipop”
“Yea that sounds good” I giggled
“Mum, mum. Me and Jack have thought of some baby names”
“Yes boys, so what have you come up with?” Isobel asked
“Thomas Bassam Peter Gaskarth-Barakat if it is a boy and if it’s a girl Jasey-Rae Gaskarth-Barakat” We went back up stairs.
“Maybe we should put our mum middle names with Jasey” Alex questioned
“Yea okay so she will be Jasey-Rae Isobel Joyce Gaskarth-Barakat”
“Or Barakat-Gaskarth”
