Jacks POV
I went over to Alex’s house as soon as he called. I wonder what he wanted. I knocked on his door. “Hey Jack” he said when he answered the door “Come upstairs “I was confused when we walked past Alex’s room and into Toms room. “ Hey Tom “I said nervously
“Hey Jack I know you won’t forgive me as easily as Alex did. I don’t expect that but please let me explain” Tom started.
“So let me get this straight. You forgive your brother after he destroyed your room?” I asked
“Yep”
“Why?” I questioned
“Well because when my mum rang me saying he had locked himself in the bathroom. Well I knew exactly what he was doing and it worried me.” As if on cue Tom pulled up his sleeve to reveal old scars and new cuts
“Oh okay”
“Last time he almost killed himself. I dunno what I would do if he managed this time”
“Alex” Tom said “I think you better show Jack” That was when Alex lifted up his sleeves to reveal old scars and some new cuts.
“I also have them on my hips and thighs. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Tom. I knew I could always talk to him. He is then only reason I stopped”
I then lifted up my sleeves to reveal my scars “Like Alex I also have scars on my thighs and hips. I didn’t have an older brother to help me. I stopped after my dad died because I know what it feels like to lose someone you love. I couldn’t put my mom and May through something like that again”
“Well let’s make a deal” Alex said “Let’s all agree to help each other. Make sure we always have someone to talk to”
“Alex sometimes you come up with some really great ideas. I love the sound of that” Tom stated
“So we are all agreed?” Alex asked
“Yes” We both agreed.
The next day at school Mark started giving us grief “Lay off them Mark” Tom yelled
“Ohh looks like you have turned into one of them Gaskank or should I say Gayskarth. That sounds better see you later Gayskarth Baratwat”
“Thanks Tom” Both me and Alex thanked Tom”
