The bone marrow didn't take long, it was kind of simple. But afterwards, Alex did have a shallow cut that was bandaged up.

Jack was currently at home with William, as Rian, Zack, and Alex told the two to head home for a while. So that's where they were. Jack was giving William a bath currently, getting him cleaned up.

"Daddy?" William asked as he played with some bubbles in the bathtub, "Why is Dad not here with us?"

"Dad's sick baby, he has to stay at the hospital for a while. That's why we're going back," he said as he scrubbed his sons hair, kissing his forehead gently. "But don't worry, Dad will be fine."

Jack had just got out of the shower and he was walking over to Williams room to check up on him. He glanced in to find his son sleeping. He smiled slightly and went back to his and Alex's room. He grabbed his phone and sent a text to Alex.

'I'll be back at the hospital tomorrow morning, Will is sleeping.'

Jack sat down on their bed, running his hand through his hair. He was tired, but he still fiddled with his phone until it buzzed.

'You jackass, you woke me up. But okay, I'll see you tomorrow. :) I love you. <3'

Jack smiled at this and typed a reply, 'Oops, sorry. ;) I love you too. <3' He sent before setting his phone on the charger. He turned on he side and cuddled under the blankets, and he fell asleep quickly.

Jack woke up the next day at seven to a hyper four year old jumping on him yelling at him to wake up. And that brought a smile to his face.

So Jack got up and made Will breakfast and got him dressed. And then Jack threw some clothes on and a beanie over his head before grabbing his phone and driving William to school, and then drove to the hospital.

When Jack got to Alex's room he was watching the television and Jack smiled and walked over to him, kissing his cheek.

"Good morning," Jack said with a smile as he sat down in the chair next to Alex's bed.
Alex turned to look at him and smiled, "Hey," he said as he ran his fingers through his hair.
"When did Zack and Rian leave yesterday?" He asked as he looked over at Alex.

"About an hour or two after you left."

Jack just nodded.

It was an hour or two later and Jack ended up next to Alex in the bed, Jack's arms wrapped around him and his fingers playing with his hair.

Alex snuggled closer to Jack, his head resting comfortably on his chest. "I missed you last night," Alex said as his finger drew patterns on his chest, bored.

Jack smiled, "I missed you too, Lex." He said as he kissed his head gently, his arms wrapped around him gently.

"Good," Alex said with a small laugh as he leaned up and kissed Jack on the lips quickly and carefully. Jack smiled, pecking his forehead.

The day went by smoothly, Rian picking up William for Jack and saying that he can stay at his place. Jack was thankful because he wanted to stay with Alex tonight. Alex was in some pain, but he was alright.

It was when Alex and Jack were sitting in the bed watching the television (not like they could do much else) the doctor came in.

"Hello," Dr.Watson said a he came over and checked some of Alex's IV's. "A nurse did come and take some blood, correct?" And Alex nodded. "Okay, so I wanted to talk to you both about chemotherapy."

Jack nodded and Alex's grip tightened on Jack's hand. Jack gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Okay, so the chemotherapy we'll be using for Alex is called Antimetabolites. The drug will go through to IV into Alex's bloodstream. He will have to go through chemotherapy every two weeks on Thursday. Since tomorrow is Thursday, we will start tomorrow. We're starting this as soon as possible so we can get the cancer out of Alex," the doctor spoke, pausing to give them some time to soak it in. "But, Alex will have some side-effects from this," he continued after a minute, "such as nausea, which might result in Alex vomiting. It will cause him a lot of pain in his bones, mostly his legs." He said as he looked over at the two.

Alex nodded, biting his lip. "What about my hair?" He asked, the question catching Jack a little off guard.

Dr.Watson nodded, "I figured you'd ask about that." He said as he glanced down at his clipboard and then at Alex again. "You will lose your hair, but I think you know that already."

Alex nodded silently. "Okay, we'll we start tomorrow, I'll see you then." He said before leaving the room.

Jack kissed Alex's temple, leaving his lips pressed there as he talked. "I know this is going to he hard, but you'll be alright. I'll be here the whole time. I love you," he whispered softly to Alex, and he meant every word he said.

Alex smiled slightly, sniffling as he wiped his wet eyes. "I love you too," he said softly and Jack pecked his lips, wiping his tears. "But, you do know that soon I'll have no hair," he mentioned, biting his lip.

Jack nodded, "I know," he spoke , his lips still against his temple as he whispered. "But I'll still love you Alex, I always will," he said truthfully as he kissed his temple softly.

Alex smiled, wondering how he got so lucky to have Jack. "I love you so much," he said softly, yawning a little. "But I'm tired so I'm going to sleep," he said with a smile as he closed his eyes.

Jack smiled, laughing softly, "Okay, but I love you too." He said as he kissed his head and leaned back, wrapping his arms around Alex tighter.

They'd be okay. Well, they hoped they would.
