"Hey Lex?" Rian asked snapping me out of my trance while washing dishes at the station.

"Yeah?"

"Does Jack seem kinda... Off to you?" He said motioning to Jack laying down curled up in a ball watching The Big Band Theory on the tv.

"Oh he's just kinda nervous and upset. He's fine." I said rinsing off a plate and placing it on the rack.

Rian cocked an eyebrow, pulling himself up to sit on the counter by the sink. "Why's he nervous and upset?"

"Oh he has to get another skin graph thursday. He's not that happy about it. He's scared i'm not gonna wanna see him naked anymore."

"Anymore?" Rian asked grinning.

It took me a few seconds before I dropped the plate and smacked him upside the head.

"Hey, hey, hey! I'm sorry! So he finally opened up to you? In a sexual way?" He asked swinging his legs, his heels making a thud noise on the wall.

"Yeah. It didn't take him that long though since an incident happened which caused me to walk in on him naked so there was no turning back then." I sighed drying off my hands and sitting next to him, watching Jack.

"What was the incident?"

I thought about it for a second and shook my head. "He punched the bathroom mirror cause he finally looked at himself completely and didn't like what he saw and... Thats basically it..." I said not wanting to say that he cut himself pretty bad in the process.

"Damn that's rough." Rian sighed, scratching the back of his neck.

"Yeah. Well I think i'm gonna get Jack home. He doesn't look like he's feeling well."

"Ok man take it easy" Rian said hugging me quickly before I walked over to Jack and bend down to push his hair out of his eyes.

"You okay baby?" Jack hummed in response and pouted making me kiss it off him.

"Let's get you home." I said sitting him up and lacing my fingers with him while we walked to my truck.

Today was the morning of Jacks surgery. Let me tell you he was really putting up a fight with waking up.

"Are you being stubborn on purpose or are you really just not wanting to get out of bed" I said tickling his feet. He didn't giggle all he did was shoot his feet up under his butt and pull the comforter tighter around him.

"J-a-a-ack I need to get you to the hospital.!"

"No. Mad at you."

"What the fuck did I do?" I asked rubbing his back above the comforter.

Jack just shrugged and turned over to face me.

"Jack seriously get up and go take a good shower. You're not going to be able to take a proper one in a while." I said pulling him up and kissing his neck.

"Fine." He huffed and pulled the blanket off of himself revealing a bare butt from our previous actions from last night.

"Be sure to scrub really good!" I yelled as he walked into the bathroom.

"Yes mother!"

Jack was laying in the hospital bed in a gown covered with a blanket to his neck, holding onto my hand tightly occasionally whimpering.

"Jack you're gonna be okay." I said kissing the back of his hand.

Jack just groaned as a nurse walked in with a needle and vile's.

"They just have to give you the anestisea Jacky."

The nurse gave me a small smile as Jack pulled me up on the bed with him, curling up into my side. The nurse put a oxygen mask on his face to try and calm him down cause he was breathing pretty heavily.

"Jack may I see your arm?" The nurse asked and he shoved his arm in her direction and she began to clean the area with a sterile wipe.

"About the put the needle in. It won't stay but there will be a little plastic tube that will." Jack nodded and buried his face into my neck whimpering as he felt the needle go into his arm.

"Okay, the needle is out and now i'm going to put in the medicine that'll put you to sleep. I know you're scared so do you want Alex to do it?" The nurse asked Jack and he nodded.

"How do I do that?" I asked as she handed me the pump that was hooked up to the tube.

"Just push it down at whatever pace you're comfortable with and when it's empty just unhook it"

"Yeah I got that part. I've done that before I just never knew I could do that."

The nurse smiled and walked out of the room and I began to slowly push down the suringe and Jack whimpered yet again.

"What?" I asked still slowly administering the medication.

""s warm and I don't like it. 'M scared." I felt him shake into my side and I tightened my grip around him with the arm that wasn't occupied.

"You're gonna be fine. It's almost all in you and i'm still with you. I'll also be here when you wake up remember?" Jack nodded and I kissed him softly as the rest of the medication was into his bloodstream.

"All done." I said as I unhooked the suringe and clipped the tube off with the little plastic thingy.

"'M sleepy." Jack murmmered against my neck.

I nodded and kissed his temple as a nurse walked in.

"Is he getting sleepy?" The petite blonde asked who's name I saw was Jenna.

Jack nodded for me and she laughed.

"Okay well I gotta wheel you down there now." She said coming around to unlock the wheels off the bed.

Jack screetched and held onto me tired and I shrugged.

"You can be with him in the room until he falls asleep" She told me and I saw Jack relax.

"Go to sleep Jack." I whispered into his ear as Jenna pushed us into the room where his surgery were to be held.

"I love you it's okay just go to sleep. I'll be here when you wake up. I'll bring you some ice cream." And yeah Jack smiled and nodded when he heard the mention of ice cream.

After a few seconds I looked down and saw him sleeping and I gently slid out of the bed and the nurse began to undress him.

"You're so nice to him." She said shaking my hand. "Is he your brother? Y'all seem really close."

My eyes widened and I shook my head. "He's my boyfriend."

Jennas hand flew up to her chest and she laughed lightly. "Well that explains a lot! Well you have to leave now. We'll send a nurse out to get you when he comes out of surgery." She said pushing me out of the room.

"Thanks. Take care of him." I said walking down the hall. She gave me a small smile and I sat down in the waiting room and began to play the waiting game.
